yeah, Fulham are going to have their best player disgruntled for the future. Should never have let him do the medical if they weren’t sure they could get a replacement. Also Bayern left it a little late as well.

I don't know what our board was thinking going after him with only 1-2 days remaining. This should've been done just after the Kane deal was sealed, especially as there were interest from Inter regarding Pavard and Liverpool for Gravenberch.

It's not like they weren't aware of these situations beforehand. Sure we signed Kane and got Kim, got rid of Hernandez, Sabitzer and Mane which is all very good. But we loaned out Stanisic, sold Pavard and now Gravenberch as well, without getting Palhinha because we didn't ack quick enough.

My guess is our board simply became complacent after the Kane deal was sealed. One step forward and then another backwards, this time we do have a world class striker unlike last season, but we're still without a DM - which will hurt us in the CL KO rounds.

Hopefully we can come back for Palhinha in January and sign him there.
