Paying 90 M Higuin, it's not a problem. Paying 100 M Ronaldo, it's not a problem. But the problem for the 2 is age, Real and Napoli enjoyed best years of these 2 players and in addition sell them extremely expensive to us.
i understand why you think that way and yes, there is logic in it however i'd like to counter that juventus fans really overestimate how we got the worst years and paid most money

in comparison to ronaldo and higuain transfers, let's look at forwards who cost a lot of money that really did not perform:

lukaku 100 million euro transfer fee
fernando torres 58 million euro (big money at the time)
darwin nunez 75 million to 100m with add ons
coutinho 100m
sadio mane 41m
vlahovic 75m

when u compare those, higgy and ronaldo were bargains for performance

He walked the walk by agreeing a new long contract with Milan with no release contract. Which is a rare thing for a Jose Mendes client. Who is essentially the best player in the league.

I defenitely expected him to leave and not re-sign with new contract this summer. So suprised me so far.
Yeah, but let's see how much that contract and his words really mean if, let's say, Mbappe goes to Real and PSG really pushes to sign him.

I think you're just re-enforcing the same point without countering on the fact that a lot of them players had resale value which is one of the reasons club are willing to pay big.

So Higuain was a good transfer because there are multiple transfers in the history of football? :D

The reality here is, that a small minority of posters, spearheaded by Lion, is usually spot on about transfers and shit.

I'm always looking forward to his posts to learn about football and life. Sure, the content from the rest provide some comedic value, but obviously their intellect cant be trusted.

If we kept Marotta we would have probably signed some of the players that Inter ended up signing. Barella would probably be playing for Juve for example.

Don't really watch Serie A so maybe anyone can answer, how good is he? Napoli became champions with him as a starter, so I guess he aint bad after all?

Probably the best defender in Serie A, but based only on one season.
And that's why I'm a little sceptic. I'm sure he's having great potential, but this was his first season in a top league. Before that he played in China and Turkey, not really impressive.

Maybe he's just a late blomer like Van Dijk.

They're going back to being irrelevant maybe already next season. They'll probably also losing Osimhen and the Georgian mid I can't remember the name of and then it's back to start for them.
The fact that Garcia was hired without Giuntoli's knowledge. I love the fact ADL is taking that shit club back to its former shit state
