Is just me or we've been few years past the moment where UEFA should have intervened to regulate football appropriately? There needs to be measures taken, nothing's done and football subsequently has become crazy and wounded. Fuck UEFA.

I was never for salary cap since it's not Europe's way of doing things, but I think it's worth a thought. Footballers are way too spoilt nowadays, that'd be a gift given to them and make football free of the idea of joining teams only for the money. One step away from money governing football

Other measures should be taken as well
UEFA has allowed PSG, ManCity, and even United to make a mockery of FFP and football in general, spending close to a billion dollars each over the last 5 years. These three teams just throw dollar after bad dollar, and then discard players for peanuts when they don't work out, and spend a fortune on another set of new players.

good deal or not, it'll be pretty hard to replace dzeko mid-season. i expected roma to finish easily in the top3, but without their top scorer by quite a margin, it might be a rough ride.

From what i did read from various sources there is almost a done deal in place for Emerson Palmieri but nothing is for certain in Dzeko's case, i doubt Roma would want to let him go mid-season while also i doubt Chelsea are that desperate to get him this winter, afterall he won't be eligible in UCL for them while in Premier League is pretty much done and dusted with Citty spriting to the title.

Anyway, even if both leave it wont make much of a difference for Roma either, it is more like a chance to make a profit during a season in which they more or less content with the fact they not genuine protagonists neither in Seria A or UCL...

P.S.: I'd rather have them lose Naingollan :D with us hijacking him ofc

I don't see conte anywhere in what you quoted

Yes Antonio would want to get dzeko while his direct competition gets sanchez, stay in school don't become @zizinho
Why not, I'm if not the most objective member here, then top3 for sure

We should hijack that Dzeko deal by offering Higuain for 50 million instead :donedeal:
Straight swap, 50M + Higuain is a bit too much for Dzeko tbh

Its more like 25m .

dzeko 25m, emerson 25m, 10m bonuses

Still a good deal for a 32 year old
Yes you are right the title i read was a bit confusing

Still a good deal for them as their transfer director is quite a shrewd operator in the transfer market so he should be able to bring in some good players for that money

Is it me or ... is this a good deal for Roma?
Dzeko is a great striker offcourse, but he is already 32 and I like them also with Perotti as a sort of false 9.

Emerson is just decent nothing more. He can become a good player for Roma in the future, but he is not ready for Chelsea, only as benchplayer imo. Marcos Alonso is better, Emerson is way faster and more explosive, but not consistent. And Marcos Alonso has a striker-instinct haha :p

Selling important players mid-season when you are starting to slip away from your objectives = not a good deal. Are Roma really in such financial trouble they are forced to sell at this point? Can't imagine that's the case.
