He is talented, but I really don't think a young player who really hasn't proven anything deserves even half this amount. I mean last season was the first season where he could even be considered a "rotation" player, he wasn't even an automatic starter for Monaco last season. Did he have an overly impressive season? Not really. You want a talented French player that is worth breaking the bank for, I'll point you towards Nabil Fekir who is twice the talent, and was one of the best players in the Ligue last season.
Martial is promising, and he's still young, so he could still turn out to be a good player if developed right but he has not performed on a level that warrants breaking the bank for him.
Ya you got a point , but where I am coming from is I am rich as fuck , and I can spend as much as I want , cause I can get back those spending anytime with the revenue I am making.
Plus you got to consider , the windows closes in 1 day and there is no time for haggling . They just pay what Monaco is asking and seal the deal.
At the end of the day, it just comes to spending power and affordability. The poor will complain, the rich will just brush aside.
Some reaction here, feels like when a poor kid sees a rich kid buys an ice cream and the poor kid cant afford and just complain about how bad an ice cream is to make himself happy. Well EPL money, and Man U being one of the biggest money makers in the game, for me if I was in Man U position it doesn't matter, and its no where retarded at all.
