It's gone perfectly fine since Mandzukic has 20 goals, including 5 goals in 10 European matches. Or are you saying that Mandzukic is inferior to Morata because Morata scored goals that put us passed Real Madrid? I really like Morata but him scoring key goals for us doesn't suddenly make him better overall than Mandzukic. He's younger and definitely looks promising but he's not on Mandzukic's level.
And while I'm not unhappy to see us sign Dybala, I do think we reached and overpaid for him. I hope he turns into an amazing forward and a beast but I don't think he will. I'm all about buying proven players if they're going to cost the same as younger players. If we could get Jackson for 5 years for 25m instead of Dybala for 30m, I'd take that at this point. Again, hopefully history proves me wrong (in this case) and Dybala becomes a beast. Until then, we overpaid.

Mandzukic is 29 now. Just turned 29 a couple days ago. I wouldn't bring him here for over about 10-15 mil like Tevez.
And you're not taking into account that Morata has played far less minutes as he was not first choice for the first couple months of the season. Minutes played tell a far different story between the two.
Morata has 14 goals-6 assists in 2230 minutes in all comps. A goal/assist every 111.5 minutes

I wouldnt trade Morata for Mandzukic right now.He may not be prolific yet but he's certainly more refined technically than Mandzukic.I wouldnt imagine Mandzukic to be the same threat as Morata is on the break.Running with the ball at pace is something i've rarely seen Mandzukic do.Morata compliments Tevez perfectly.

True as well.But we need to give them the benefit of the doubt because the rights to wrongs ratio has been like 80-20.
This season has totally shut me as well as other critics for good.What was initially thought to be a mediocre mercato with Morata,Evra and Pereyra signings has actually turned out to be a genius mercato.
So this season will not only be remembered for its success on the field but also for the transfer market decisions we made.

I don't understand the comparison of the two players. They are both forwards I guess? Jackson is at his peak, Dybala is a potential mega talent just being born. What we've done is smart because Dybala is a long term replacement for Tevez. And don't give the lad one season before crapping on him, there will be even bigger pressure on us to win everything next season.
Would be great if true, we've been screaming for a top level striker for a while. If we can keep our players healthy, this midfield - attack looks quite strong:

Only concern is whether this is just a purple patch, or whether he can continue this form, because in the second half of the season he's been one of the most effective ball winners in the EPL.
Cazorla is a magician and one of my favorite players. His form has faded in the last couple of months, but that period between November - February, Santi was amazing.

Just like MikeM i think that Ozil and Ramsey seem too lightweight, that's why i'd add two great CMs to compliment them. Cazorla always seemed to me like a good offensive option from the bench, while about Coquelin i can't say much because i don't watch Arsenal too much, didn't really notice him in the games i saw though. Schneiderlin would be a really good acquisition for this idea.

IMO it could work out with one defensive midfielder, if the likes of Ramsey, Ozil and Santi stay fit and are more consistent.As for our squad being mediocre, I'd have agreed if you said this a couple of years ago, I used to think our squad was shit. But right now, IMO we have a lot of good players, 3rd place is just where we belong IMO, and with 2-3 quality signings we should be competing for the title. Wenger needs to sort out the injury situation though, obviously you will not be competitive when half your team is out injured for an average 2-3 months.
