Cuadrado's buyout clause €35m comes to about £26.2m??... the £ has gained way too much recently, makes for uncomfortable transfer windows... such a strong currency in addition to high revenues for English clubs, not good competition for rest of European heavyweights.

Konoplyanka 'won't sign Roma deal'

Yevhen Konoplyanka “probably won’t sign the contract with Roma,” said the Dnipro midfielder’s father.
Dnipro confirmed they were in advanced negotiations for a sale, but the player has also been linked with a host of other clubs, including Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham.
“He probably won’t sign the contract with Roma,” father Oleg Konoplyanka told Italian news agency ANSA.
“What I can say is that Roma would really like him to sign it, but my son wants to stay at Dnipro until June and then leave.
“He wants to stay and I think he will very probably remain here until his contract expires.”
Naturally, Dnipro are desperate to avoid that scenario, as it would mean losing one of their star players as a free agent in June.

standard behaviour to squeeze out the highest possible sign-up-fee + wages.
absolutely no indication that it has anything to do with the appeal of serie a.

Roma wants Grujić from Red Star. They had scouts on him on their prep games and are apparently satisfied. Udinese also wants him.

He's being compared with Matić.

It's not likely to happen now if we believe our papers they say Roma would pay now 70% but he'd stay here in Belgrade for 6 months or a year.

Yeah, Destro is a guy who will score goals.

Milan need a CF that they trust.

Roma have limited use for a player such as Destro who isn't compatible with Totti in their 4-3-3.

It's a fairly logical move all round.
nah, Pazzini, Matri and Balotelli in the past have proved that spending all of your money on a shiny centre forward gets this Milan nowhere, it's far from logical to make the same mistake again. if you're talking about loaning him with no obligation to buy then it might make sense in the short term.

So Milan should never sign another centre-forward?

I see the vast majority of Milan's problems currently coming from the teams organisation and mentality, rather than the quality of players they have.

Lopez

Abate-Alex-Rami-De Sciglio

Montolivo-De Jong-Poli

And then they've got Honda, El Sharaawy, Menez, Pazzini, formerly Torres, Cerci, Bonaventura as forwards to choose from.

Now that team isn't great by any means, but there is absolutely no need for Milan to be anything like as bad as they have been this season.

Centre-forward wouldn't be at the top of my list of priorites, but I trust Pazzini where Milan clearly don't.

So Milan do need a centre-forward.

i think they'd be better off bringing in at least one quality cb or a box to box midfielder, their forward line already is worth two times more than the rest of the team. I also don't find the trust argument worthy, they'd trust Destro for around ten games just like Matri and Torres.
