do you consider this to be such a great deal?
i´m kinda shocked that city managed to get that much out of schalke, considering he hasn´t played in ages and they obviously don´t care about him at all anymore. maybe it´s just today´s crazy market.
furthermore, i read that he will earn aboout as much as chiellini. quite questionable imo.
then again, i think he is very talented so maybe it will pay off for them big time.

Less than what have we paid for Bonucci and Ogbonna? Yeah, I think it's a great deal. Considering how much Savic (e.g.) costs I'd say this makes it even better. Price might bit a bit higher conisdering it's January but I surely didn't expect him to cost much lower than that. Way too many players end up dry in EPL but that by no means implicates they are bad players. I believe he's a very good defender and that's a great move for Schalke.

Now they have both defenders that I want, Howedes and Nastasic. :frown:

Chiellini, Bonucci and Ogbonna... :sergio:

I'm a bit jealous on the deal as well.

Nastasic is 21. He might not have been the success expected in CIty, but hell he wouldn't be the first that "fails" in his first big club and then since becomes successful. I think this is a deal is a miss for Marotta.

Exactly. He's still a kid and the potential that he's carrying is crazy. He also has a brain, unlike ALL of our defenders ffs.

But we'll see how things do. I think many top clubs will chase him again in 2-3 years and his price will be doubled.

Btw, as for the move per se, I think he made a great choice, possibly the best (I mean Bundesliga).

Absolutely a good move for Nastasic. Schalke (the team), Bundesliga, the manager wanted him, CL-football (maybe), a great stadium and homecrowd. What's not to liek?

Inb4 Bayern player in three years.

i didn´t ask if it was a better deal than some other deal. i kinda hate that logic. especially since the luiz-deal you can let every deal look brilliant or retarded, based on how you look at it.
vidal was a horrible deal compared to pogba ^^. but yeah, i know what you mean :). i consider it a risky move but obviously with a possibly very high reward. looking forward to seeing him in the bundesliga.

hm i watch höwedes every week and if he was playing at juve people would probably hate him ^^. same goes for guys like manolas, probably schär etc. :D

as you know i fully agree about his potential and also about him probably making the right move.

Nah, you know what I mean.

What I hate the most is us ignoring such deal(s) while buying overhyped Italian players just because they are the 'new Nesta/Maldini/Cannavaro' etc. I mean, our backline has an IQ lower than Hoori's heels.

You know how we should look at this deal? Is Rugani really worth ignoring Nastasic? I guess our staff decided that already.

Really? Whenever I've seen Howedes he looked great. It was not too many times but he really looked quality.

@Dule90:
Anderlecht is linked with a summer move for Petar Skuletic, as a replacement for Mitrovic who will probably leave our team in the summer.
Can you tell me something about this guy except that he is 24-year old and has scored 21 times in 2 matches for Partizan?

well considering rugani is said to cost us around 3m i think he is a must buy. so the question is if we need another defender on top of rugani.
i think yes (although i don´t hate our current defence as much as some other users around here do :D) and i know what you think about it :p.

i think he is quite good and definately has some quality but he´s had his fair share of huge fuck-ups as well.
if we buy another defender in the summer i hope that the jump in quality will be bigger than ogbonna -> höwedes for example.
on the other hand i would love to see a german here, simply because german tv would show more of our matches instead of gomez failing at fiorentina or klose warming the bench and missing sitters (against roma) at lazio :(.

I can tell you that you're wrong. :D

Nah but seriously, I don't know much about the guy. Or our league now in fact, as I can't follow it when it's falling apart.

All I know is that he's 90% of their team lol. But I as a player I can't say anything about him. I know that was supposed to sign for Lille but Partizan refused their offer. But I didn't hear anything about Anderlecht, though. I know some Chinese club is ready to offer 1mln more than Lille so Partizan won't refuse the offer. And deal might probably happen now in January.

Should have been 27 instead of 2 :p
So, China, ok, next then.

Facts, Dusan. This is another Jérôme Boateng episode as far as City is concerned for me and I'm sure they won't put in a buy-back clause in there either.

This entire posts reminds of Cléo when he was on fire for Partizan in the Champions League a couple years and then dipped off to China. Kind of similar to Lucas Barrios with Dortmund too but they managed to have a smooth transition with Lewandowski taking that mantle.
