Sabatini the man! Manages to strengthen the team without getting rid of Borriello's wage or using it as an excuse.

Sabatini - the self-made man. Finds his own talents, buys for the players he sells and gets my admiration.

Quiet deadline day for Aberdeen.

Knew we weren't going to get our main target early on when Inverness charmingly posted on twitter that Hell would freeze over before they'd sell to us.

So we'll wait and take him off them for nothing next summer.

Supposedly, after selling McArthur to Palace for £7m, Wigan bid £800k for Ryan Jack.

Aberdeen will have told them to fuck right off if they made such a shitty bid.

Have you seen much of that Koulibaly that Napoli have signed?

He looks a really bad player fro what I've seen of him.
i honestly haven't watch napoli this season, i've seen a few posts around here rating him though

 selling Benatia for 24M after saying his weaker leg is worth 30M was the most hilarious part of the whole summer mercato.
That sort of statement is always great.

I remember Alex Ferguson saying Charlie Adam's corners were worth £10m, shortly before Liverpool signed him for about £8m.

Ferguson was right: his corners were great and the rest of his game was probably worth about -£2m.

Roma's owner is injecting tens of millions, yet you claim that they have no financial backing

They had to sell Benatia to comply with FFP.
hmm.. no. They had to sell Benatia because they didn't have the money to offer him a decent contract renew that he deserved (the max they were offering was 2M/year lol)

I've done the checking, Marotta works with much more transfer fee money and mainly with salaries. Juventus salaries are probably almost the double of Roma salaries.

I also admire Sabatini, the guy is fucking great, we've got to admit..

 :lol2:

I'm skeptical whether Manolas will be suitable replacement for him. If Sabatini had better man mgmt skills Benatia would still be Roma's player.
Benatia leaving is not Sabatini's fault... they didn't have enough money to offer him a decent contract renewal.
