I've said it earlier today in the Serie A thread. De Laurentiis is (or was) in São Paulo today. This is probably a done deal.

If he somehow manages not to get injured again, he should fit right in lethargic Serie A. He's got no pace but his ability with the ball is unquestionable.

In fact he could've been a nice addition for us. Could play as both a trequartista or a regista. Problem is his knee is really fucked up, could go at anytime.

He's like Pato, the kind of player with an expiration date.
I have this picture of ganso beeing an incredibly gifted, but slow/lazy player. But extremely good in the right team when fit

that knee, i didnt knew it was that bad

He is gifted indeed. He's got that old school style going on, extremely technical but slower. Not sure he'd fit anywhere else but Serie A.

And you're right, he is lazy. Pirlo might be slow but he runs for 90 minutes back and forth, he's all over. Ganso is the opposite of that. Even Seedorf said so.

Santos' president once said there's no permanent treatment for what he has. We have to take it with a pinch of salt though, when he said that he was quite angry for the whole soap opera saga involving him (the player) and the club that was going on for months, and he also had just sold the player. The doctors denied that his injury was irreversible.

He's been doing good lately, not as good as he was before the injury but he could get there, maybe.
