I dont think he joined PSG cos they were offering high wages. As far as i remember he wanted Inter move(Think he saw PSG as an alternative to Inter move) but they were priced out in the end.I also read he dint like England or something.

Ok,fair enough.

Though i still believe Leonardo had a lot to do with Lucas' signing.
Was Lucas allowed to sign for an EPL team?
Did he have enough caps for Brasil to get a work permit?
Maybe that also was the issue for him not joining ManU

But Chicharito, at the time, didn't had enough caps for México either and they figured a way to get him. I'm sure that if Man Utd would have payed more than PSG for him then he'd be playing there

Didn't know that was possible.
Me neither, but that's how it was. His first cap for México was on September 30th 2009, and Utd signed him around April 2010 IIRC. The rule says that the player must have been convoked at least 75% of the time in the last two years for his mayor NT.

Sorry about my bad english, I'm sleepy :D

Inter could make a move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards, Tuttosport have claimed this morning.

The Turin-based newspaper believe that the Nerazzurri are keen to bring the England international to San Siro after he endured a torrid campaign in the north-west last term.

Richards played just seven times for the Citizens in 2012/13 thanks to a knee injury and the purchase of Maicon.

Walter Mazzarri's side are said to be big fans of the 25-year-old, who could be available for around €10m.

The San Siro side however, want to bring in the full-back on a season-long loan with an option to buy outright.

Manchester City though, will only consider outright offers.

Maicon had nothing to do with it, Zabaleta always played.

PSG step up chase for Hernanes

The Gazzetta dello Sport have insisted this morning that Paris Saint-Germain are looking to make an offer for Hernanes.

After reportedly completing a move for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani on Thursday night, the paper believe that the Ligue 1 club are keen to bring in another Serie A sensation this summer.

Laurent Blanc's men are keen to add the Lazio playmaker to their squad, and are proposing an offer of around €21m for the Brazilian.

The Biancocelesti President Claudio Lotito is extremely reticent to sell his star player and is likely to reject any offers for the 28-year-old.

Gazzetta believe though, that the capital club may consider bids of €30m or more.

With Edinson Cavani's move to Paris Saint-Germain looking increasingly likely, Napoli are stepping up their chase for his replacement.

Reports on Thursday evening suggested that the Uruguay international is on the verge of joining the French champions.

And as such, Rafa Benitez's men are keen to bring in a high-calibre striker to fill the gap left by the 26-year-old.

Gazzetta dello Sport believe the men that the Partenopei are chasing for that honour are Manchester City's Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic.

Dzeko was used predominantly as a substitute for the English side last season, but still managed to score 14 League goals. He could be available for around €20m.

The San Paolo side are also targeting Fiorentina's young Montenegrin, who, after heavy speculation linking him with Juventus, looks to be drifting further away from a move to the Bianconeri.

Antonio Conte's side have already signed Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente this summer, and have had two bids for the Viola goalscorer turned down already.

Napoli are proposing a bid of around €25m for the 23-year-old, but Vincenzo Montella's side are looking for something nearer €30m.

Manchester City apparently close to signing Pablo Osvaldo, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. He would sign for around 15m Euros with Maicon going on loan to Roma.

Are they fearing FFP or something ? But then again they splashed close to 40m on a 29 year old midfielder.

PSG sporting director is also apparently negotiating for Hernanes and De Rossi, while he's in Rome negotiating for Cavani, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. He's bid 21m Euros for Hernanes.

Seems like they're going crazy in the market.Apart from Juve, its like they're trying to sign the best player from each Serie A team

lol that's one weird transfer.

Maicon plus 15mln is a good deal for Roma I guess. But they'll need goals now, I don't think they can rely on Totti and Destro. It's gonna be hilarious if they sign Gilardino as being reported.

The EPL waves that rule under a "special talents" clause. For highly talented players that haven't featured with their national teams.

Carlo Laudisa of GDS says Leonardo will resign from PSG after completing the Cavani deal cos of the ban he's serving from LFP.He also says he's negotiating for De Rossi and Hernanes too.

:lol2: Wonder on what this is based then.
Looking at Chicharito, I wonder if they still think they made the correct decision then.
Not saying he isn't talented, but I wonder if they still think now it was right to consider him a "special talent". @Enron
