Mediocre or not, that's their best midfield in the past years.
They always good and stable players in their team. They've dropped like two classes below their usual self and their recent transfers look like finding talents that are unproven on the big stage. They look rather like Fiorentina at the moment.

True that but Fiorentina are able to invest in their team, meelan aren't.

They're just buying some decent and young Serie A players for normal prices.

The contract talks with Flamini aren't progressing well, so it looks like he's on the way out too. So I'm guessing this will be their midfield..

Fiorentina are close to Ambrosini.
This is just sad. From the likes of Kaka, Seedorf, Dinho, Pirlo, Gattuso even Serginho to this crap that would have dreamt to be on Milan's bench.

Well their rise came with Berlusconi and their decline came with the decline of Berlusconi, they have no money anymore to spend like in the 90's till 2004/2005 when Berlusconi was in his prime time as politician, and they wont rise again untill a investor comes to spend some money for new players or they start to establish a good new generation of young players and play attractive football, lets say like dortmund with a brilliant coach.

edit: here the years they won the CL : 1962/63, 1968/69 <gap> Berlusconi era 1988/89, 1989/90, 1993/94, 2002/03, 2006/07

Guys a question,
Why inter dispatched Cassano after just a year?
From what I've heard he is in exchange for Belfodil. Belfodil has a smaller salary and is young while cassano doesnt have any resale value anymore so getting a promising player in return isnt that bad. If belfodil turns out to be just average (I am fairly certain he is no cassano) then yippie!

yeh i know the deal.. but what i meant is that just a year ago they were bragging about getting him, and Cassano was all "man i always wanted to be at inter im a fan number 1" and Moratti and his nonsense.. but now everything just went poof and he is at parma.

Apart from getting a younger dude, something els e went on?

"Ibra to Napoli impossible"- Raiola. Ibra would rather a Move to any Milan clubs instead considering Juve don't want him. But both Milanese club are going through difficulties.

Honda and Poli joining Milan, I think they will sell Noce and Boateng in due time.
I think they'd like to sell them, but don't know where they'd go.

Flamini leaving probably increases the chances of Nocerino staying.

Oh ya, and they are closing in De Rossi as well.
Since when?

Just because they are vaguely linked with a player hardly means they are 'closing in'.

Milan to go back to getting relegated (on merit, not just through scandals) like they did pre-Berlusconi? :xfinger:

Here is your answer, Hydde.

Cassano: Mazzarri forced me out
By Football Italia staff

Antonio Cassano has been presented as a Parma player today, and hit out at Walter Mazzarri for forcing him out of Inter. The 30-year-old completed a move to the Ennio Tardini this week and on Thursday evening was presented to the media, where he reflected on his departure from San Siro after just one season.

“I thank [President Massimo] Moratti, [sporting director Marco] Branca and [director Piero]Ausilio, but not [new Coach Walter] Mazzarri, because before he signed he told me that I was a fixed starter with the team and then after he arrived he said I was a starter, but one that should go home,” offered Cassano to reporters.

“He pushed me to go away. I want away because I could not return to Inter in his plans. Everyone must be aware that when you have Antonio, it is for better or worse. Throughout my career I have achieved 30-40 per cent of what I was capable of.”

Cassano was asked if his relationship with Mazzarri’s predecessor Andrea Stramaccioni was any better. The two did fall out during last season.

“We immediately start with the controversy (laughs). With the players I had a wonderful relationship, I leave behind many friends, they told me that they will miss me, and I even saw the President. Stramaccioni, on the other hand, I have nothing to say…”

The playmaker was positive in assessing his new destination, though.

“I thank the President [Tommaso Ghirardi], who wanted me, and the sporting director [Pietro] Leonardi, who called me every hour. I do not know where things will take us, but I am sure I will get a lot of satisfaction here. And then, this is a World Cup year. I hope that this is my last club and I want to end my career doing well. I like big challenges. I was already given up for dead in Madrid. I won again. I want to be a protagonist.

“Here we will have to begin well. After that I do not know what will happen. [Coach Roberto] Donadoni told me that here you live well and think big. That everyone is happy to have me here. In my contract I have a bonus for returning to the national team, this will push me to do even better.”

Rumours that Southampton wants to sign Celtics Wanyama, Brazilian international Damiao and Banega.

Don't know if this is true, but that definately are some big names for a club like Southampton

Cassano is just the biggest bullet dodged ever and is probably one of the longest served thread in the history of Tuz.
