I am not sure I'd go that far but one of the more decent CBs they could have gone for right now. Actually, with cannavaro's ban lifted, Rolando probably has more worth as a depth-improving signing than anything else. He is probably an improvement on Gamberini but not by much. Don't see him ousting Cannavaro or Campagnaro from the starting 11 either.
Britos has been playing ahead of Gamberini, hasn't he?

Not sure how they'll use Rolando just now.

See the move as preparation for Campagnaro leaving in the summer as much as anything.

Why does the Italian transfer not close at midnight?
Because they are sensible and want to go and have their tea instead a faffing around until midnight.

Would be so much more sensible to have the deadline at close of business rather than midnight.

Can't happen in England now, though, because SKY have built deadline day up into too big a thing.

It's absolutely ridiculous how much they build up every small transfer as though it were Messi moving to Real Madrid or something.

On a side note, I'd love to throttle your fellow countryman Jim White, utter gobshite.

He's been a cunt for a long time.

Was wonderful watching him having to report on Rangers going bust, hun bastard that he is.

I think it's some sort of rotation, based on availability, between these 4 - Campagnaro, Canna, Gamberini and Britos.

I mentioned Gamberini 'cause Rolando is closest to him in physical characteristics and is probably best suited for that central role at the back.

But if Campagnaro is leaving this summer, could well be the case. Either way, this move is more related to depth than seriously raising the quality at the back, imo.

I thought Scotland was the only transfer window open past 11:00pm.

the window in Turkey and Russia will be opened for several more days, iirc. At least that was the case with russia in the past with their old championship calendar. Not sure how it would be now with the change of schedule and everything.

i wonder how certain people would rate this transfer if juve had bought him...
- fell out with coach
- played 5min all season
- very lazy in training according to porto fans
- porto´s 5th choice CB (maybe because of the 1st point)

but i guess every move from every other team can be justified (or even be labled "great") with some bullshit peluso comment ^^.

btw: napoli is at ~5.5 to win the league. easy money?
