Yeah, they have a good team and are developing a good squad.

They have probably now strengthened enough that, while it would be a big blow, losing Cavani or Hamsik wouldn't destroy them in the way it might have done a couple of years ago.

Still be very hard to replace them, but they have a good unit now to build on regardless.

Cavani would be a huge blow IMO. Hamsik they can withstand.

Cavani is just in another realm of clutch performance. He is always there when they need him I find.

No doubt about that and I actually thought they'd lose them (or one) but kudos for them for keeping them for so long.

But yeah, it will be hard to replace them. Still, pretty sure they can get 60mln + for them this summer. It's not like we ever (so far) have managed to adequately replace Trezeguet and Del Piero, yet we're still kickin' it.

Why would Atletico want Torres?
why wouldn't they?

first off it would save them the trouble of replacing falcao, I think we can all agree that despite Torres' move to chelsea has been nothing but an expensive flop he is undoubtedly still an exceptionally good player. But it would be hard to think who else would adequately replace falcao, even though atletico have done well to replace Torres with Aguero with Falcao

People have been saying it for over 2 years now, yet it's always 'one more season'.
What I was gonna say. Thought he'd leave last summer for sure. Napoli's not even in CL. But nah, I think he likes it there.

I disagree with everything you said about Torres. He hasn't been good since before he even went to Chelsea. Some players only have a couple great years and then fall off. Relying on him to return to form is retarded.

Great signing.
I am not sure I'd go that far but one of the more decent CBs they could have gone for right now. Actually, with cannavaro's ban lifted, Rolando probably has more worth as a depth-improving signing than anything else. He is probably an improvement on Gamberini but not by much. Don't see him ousting Cannavaro or Campagnaro from the starting 11 either.
