Why they refused 46m for an unhappy player is beyond me.
Principle I guess. Levy doesn't want his club to be pushed around by the big boys anymore and he decided to make an example out of Modric. Doubt they will ever get as much for him again.

I wonder what they would have done if Chelsea had offered 46 million a month ago.

What's 46 million on deadline day? How great is it if you're force to panic buy? Then you get stuck with Andy Carroll and a bag of crisps.

I don't think Spurs will get 4th but they certainly got a better chance of meeting their goals with Modric than without him.

Well, they should've negotiated the deal with us since we showed the interest earlier in the window or at least set an asking price. But they (levy) instead chose to spend the entire summer bullshiting and making Modric sulk. Idiot.

I rather have 46 mill till January than an unhappy Modric I'd have to sell for far less money one year from now.
