Nocerino was good now?

God I love revisionists.

IF Marotta had signed him this window, this forum would be up in arms (rightly so)
Exactly. Can't pretend i've watched enough of him at Palermo but i've seen enough of him at Juve before, unless he's improved substantially, he really isn't all that.
Then dont pretend to have an opinion on him.

That's because some of the people here doesn't watch football, only Juve games (and some don't even do that). Nocerino in Palermo has been very solid midfielder, for his energy alone I'd have him over Marchisio or Pazienza.
Exactly

Nothing revisionist about it. Noone's saying Nocerino's been good all along. He's good NOW. He's improved a lot.

My opinion of him is based on what i saw in Juve, like i said unless he's improved substantially, he's a mediocre player. You've shown over the years that your not exactly the best judge of talent, so i think you'll understand if i don't take your opinion that seriously.

And to all defending Marotta and his signings saying that you can't compete with the likes of Chelsea etc here's the top spenders list (gross):

1. Man City €92.25m
2. PSG €89m
3. Juventus €85.75m
4. Chelsea €85.7m

5. Roma €78m

Obviously we can't compete with Chelsea, we had to take an extraordinary loan from our parent company to fund this expenditure. If we could compete with Chelsea we would make €35m buys like Man City and offer players £150,000 - £200,000 a week so they would join us regardless of where we finished in the league last year or if we were in European competition.

If you believe (falsely, in my opinion) that we could compete with the top 10 signings in that list then it's another matter.

One thing it does say is that we did have money, did spend money, and might well have spent it unwisely. If you look in the next category of players (except the overpriced English) I'd say that guys like Cazorla and Inler are realistic.

It's these which are questionable:

- 1 of Quagliarella/Matri €15m
- Elia €9m
- Motta €4m
- Pepe €10m

That's two really good players who are possibly attainable.

Bold part is what I meant. I never believed that you would sign Aguero for example, but there still were some realistical options who could come really good in your team.

I remember reading a lot over here that Juve didn't have any money to spend, and this lists obviously say otherwise.

I think it's 47mln actually.

Why not fair? Marotta got them and it's his players. You all count quality that was taken from loans, but not the money paid for them. Apparently loans are great, since some people think it doesn't cost any money. Well no, we splashed over 45mln euros on those.

Why not? It's still economics. And you had the option to NOT buy them, just because Marotta didn't want to ruin relationships with minnow clubs doesn't mean that you were forced to buy.

Would have been great if that cunt Levy accepted Chelsea's bid of 46m for my boy.
