Taking it a little too far? :p

Welcome back btw, you've been missed.
I don't think so, no. The guy is only 21 and he's already showed a lot of class, for both club and country. The arrival of Gourcuff fucked him a little but I don't doubt his talent for a second.

Thanks, been busy with work and women in my off time. :p

Lyon need the money, I don't suppose that has changed since they advertised Bastos to us. Plus his numbers last season weren't all that good. I don't doubt he has talent but he went from:

2009-10: 53 games, 11 goals, 10 assists
to
2010-11: 39 games, 4 goals, 2 assists

He's not as important or productive, plus they now have Gourcuff, the young lad Grenier, Ederson, Kallstrom. They can turn players over.
He kinda played different positions.

Before joining Lyon he was a beast.

He only played one season at Metz and was 17 years old. His 'beast' season was in 2009-10 with Lyon, if anything. We are talking about a very talented player of course, but that's only one part of being a top player.

His second season at Lyon was amazing.

I thought he was great in 09/10, played some major games in the CL as well.
Exacty
