What baffles me as acmilan says, I doubt if Milan's bid for Fabregas is true how has it stayed away from the media. Atleast our bids with Aguero and Dzeko were confirmed.

Milan fans want to dream. They won the scudetto and now they think the next step will be to strengthen the team to the point of challenging for CL. What they don't want to accept is that their team doesn't have money and will not spend money. They will lose Cassano, replace him with Montolivo and they can start praying that some rich team won't make an offer for Thiago Silva or Zlatan because Galliani will have no choice but to accept the offer.

it hasn't - there have been some clues here and there but mostly indirect indeed.

Also, Barca's involvement have been much more high profile and they've been after Fab for years now with the British and Spanish press milking the situation every which way - this has helped Milan keep a low profile in this whole thing and constant clams by Galliani that Italian teams cannot afford big transfers anymore along with those Mr X guessing games has helped too. The only thing Galliani has said about Fabregas as a possibility has been things like "impossible", "the fiscal possibilities aren't there", etc, etc ... compare that to all the Barca directors, coaches, and players BS in the media about Fab being almost theirs, very sad in London, etc and you get the picture.

Also Galliani has not been directly involved in negotiations but has "hired" Mino Raiola as an intermediary and thus escaping the scrutiny of the media - Galliani is seemingly inactive on the Fab chase but Raiola in May let it slip in the media that he had been working on a major transfer for Milan since Jan/Feb of 2011 ... that transfer is Fabregas

Honestly. That sounds far fetched mate. The press get to know everything, this would of found its way into the press somehow, if it had an ounce of credibility.

it's not about dreaming, the stuff is real - I am not saying he 100% Milan's and this transfer will come to completion but it seems even the media has no clue how close Milan has been to Fabregas all this time, thanks to Galliani being so sly and Barca just loving the press coverage.

Montolivo is likely to come, but on Milan's terms, not Fiorentina's - chances are it will happen in the last hrs of August as it's a waiting game right now.

Cassano is staying at Milan unless he asks to leave, which seems unlikely considering what Prandelli said about his role in the NT yesterday.

There has been offers for TS from Real, City, and lastly Barca but that only resulted in Milan extending and improving his contract.

Your today maybe. Not my today or Dagestan's today. It's almost 11pm in Dagestan and almost 9 pm in Italy :D
mine today is yours tomorrow :D

As I said, it has not escaped the media's attention, it's just that the amount of attention on Milan has been limited and focused elsewhere - Barca.

that was the whole point of having Raiola involved, while Galliani was just being busy talking to la lega calcio and stuff. How do you think Milan would avoid all the attention if Galliani was saying how Fab was close to Milan or making frequent trips to London? He made one such trip, around the time of the CL final, the next one would take place only if he is to sign with Arsenal.

Ok, if all this is true then I have to conclude that Fabregas knows about it. My impression is that Cesc will die to play for Barca so if there was an offer from Milan, or simple contact without an offer, I doubt Fabregas didn't inform Barcelona about it.
And if Barca knows about it, then I'm pretty sure they'll do everything Fabregas not to go to Milan because he might be twice more expensive in 2-3 years while Barca might need him earlier than that.

If Cesc goes to Milan this summer then he might ruin his chances to play for Barca, ever. It will be a kick in Barca's face if Fabregas leaves Arsenal for another club.
