I consider Tevez a really good player, Etoo on the other hand - a great one ... completely diff level, no room for comparison, I think.
Sneijder is out the door too with Kucka expected to come in his place - Inter would be downsizing quite a bit if these two deals go thru

Yeah, at least at the moment things don't look too good for them. We have ~20 days to see how will all this end.
In any case, compared to 2 years ago, they are already looking like a much weaker team. Gasperini instead of Mourinho, Samuel older and troubled by injuries, Maicon, Cambiasso Lucio, Stankovic and Milito in their 30's and losing form and speed big time. They didn't find solid replacements for them.
If they lose Sneijder and Eto'o on top of everything said above, they will need a looooooooooooooot to be even half the team they used to be in the recent past. Inter seem to be following the trend of the league they're playing in - becoming much weaker.
But like I said, we have 20 days to see what will they do.

City want 50 Million. Corinthians offered in excess of 40 Million.
Corinthians offered money they didn't have and Tevez would prefer Inter over them, I guess ... considering the circumstances, City would be lucky to get 35 mil for Tevez in the end.
I personally expect(ed) a Tevez-Etoo swap but I suppose Anzi's offer is way too good to miss out on.

Inter are rumoured to be after Lavezzi as a replacement for Sneijder.

Lavezzi will cost them 30 Million(His release clause) Tevez minimum 40 Million.

That's 70 Million for two players. I doubt they will spend that much.

Me too.

Like I already said in another thread, just like in the previous two seasons I think that Inter will sell more than they'll buy. If they buy Lavezzi and Tevez then I see them selling one more player on top of selling Eto'o and Sneijder. Maybe Maicon if they manage to find a buyer.

City can afford to have Tevez on the bench. They've been clear, another European club they want 50 Million from.
what they cannot afford is have his disruptive attitude in the dressing room ... and deals are about negotiations, you are approaching this whole thing way too "literary" - asking prices are negotiable, not to mention when they are grossly unrealistic, as is the case here :)

mark my words, Tevez will leave City, most likely for Inter, this summer and for around 35 mil i.e. more or less what they want for Sneijder ... or, who knows, it could be a straight swap with Etoo, in the end

Word.

I've heard the reason for selling the big names is to cut the wage bill. Tevez will want them to match his current wages at 10 Million a season, so that's 20 Million including taxes in Italy. They will buy one of Tevez or Lavezzi not both.

they already have - Man City :D - could be part of a deal for Tevez if Etoo goes to Anzi

Tevez is reportedly ready to cut his wages to 7-8 mil, bonus included, to go to Inter.
I also doubt they would buy Lavezzi on top of Tevez but wouldn't esclude it completely - Inter could still use make-weights in a deal with Napoli and what Inter would get from this is a significant reduction in salaries with Eto'o, Sneijder and Maicon gone.

The key word.
