You're right about him, he is nothing special IMO. But I'm more baffled with Desto's price tag, the only good thing about him is that he is still young, but 20m for a player that hardly plays, and even stopped scoring is ridiculous

The only good thing is that this must mean they are selling at least two of their star players, maybe even three.

The mentioned price for Suarez is 2m for loan, and 11m at the end of the season. Which means that they will have to pay over 30m in the summer, and they are already in deep shit when it comes to FFP
There's only one problem, Inter do not have star players bar Kovacevic.

They can do without the rest of them, non would be a loss.

Well I agree, but they still have players that could go for big money, Handanovic, Icardi and Kovacic are ones that comes to mind first, maybe even Guarin, but he won't be missed, unlike the first three I mentioned.

How's the FCP flop Steven Defour doing doe?
He is doing great (when he is fit, he has been injured a few times).
Anderlecht has a very young team (Mbemba, Acheampong, Conte, Praet, Tielemans, Dedoncker, Mitrovic) and a player with the status of Defour is something they look up to. He is the leader of the players on the field.
He brings some "balls" in the team, he is the first to go and attack the opposition when they have the ball. For me, he is worth the investment we made.

True, I know your team got hella talents but I haven't been able to see them in action too much besides the Champions League. I wonder how Axel Witsel would do in a top-league too, I doubt Zenit would let him and AVB would let him go though considering how much they paid. My favorite Anderlecht player over the years is Vincent Kompany.

Witsel is a player that would fit in every team, he won't be the one making all the difference, but he won't disappoint either, kind of like Marchisio.
I agree Zenith won't let him go, they paid 40MEuro for him, he isn't unhappy (probably because he has a rediculous high wage), they don't need cash and he is a starter for them so now, unless some ridiculous amount is offered, he won't be going anywhere.

Kompany for me also, currently Mbemba, the guy is a beast.

Thanks for the analysis, appreciate it g. I'm gonna look-out for Mbemba from now on. By the way is the current manager Proto the ex-Goalkeeper? If so it's funny how both Wilmots is also a coach too now. By the way what's your take on Eric Gerets he could've made that big step up to a big club after Marseille?

The current coach is Besnik Hasi, he used to play for us as midfielder, entered the staff a few years ago and when John van den Brom was fired last season one match before the start of the play-offs, he got his chance. He won us the title while, at the start of the play-offs, we were only 4th, 8 points behind the leader.
Proto is still our GK, he is 31/32 or something like that so he is not finished yet.
I think you mean Preud'homme, and he indeed is coach now, he is coaching Club Brugge.

My take on Eric Gerets is that he, together with Preud'homme are the two best Belgian coaches we have.
In my opinion, he could indeed have become coach for European top clubs, but he decided to go for the money a few years ago by signing contracts in oil countries and appearently, he likes it there because he didn't return yet.
He is mentioned to be the new coach for our NT once Wilmots decides to go for a job as a team coach, I hope this is true.
