I do love the Real Madrid Galactico model.

Now that they've got more superstar forwards than any team could possibly need, they are gradually getting rid of the hard-working players who provide balance to the side.

Happened years ago when they got rid of Makelele and Cambiasso and they seem to be well on their way to repeating those errors.

Hit me up again when there is an official deal, not when sky or the other rumor-mills tell you there is a deal, dressed up with invented details - according to those same sources, Juve and even milan have/had a chance to get Falcao, after all.

I'll say it again - doesn't matter how bad Milan are, they will never get a player like Van Ginkel without the option to make it permanent. It's not just a matter of self-respect but basic business and any other type of logic.

It definitely has shades of 2003 about it doesn't it? Bought Beckham, sold Makelele and the wheels came tumbling off.
