Nothing new really.
It's been going on for years that Italy only manages to sign washed up ex great players and ex world class players. Only once they hit 29 they are being taken under consideration. But 32-33 are the best years.
Not only in the sense how it's that target group, but the fact how Serie A can't attract best players in their prime years. So it's always the rejects that arrive in Italy, as their last breath, before they retire or go to Japan, Arabia or the US.
