I heard Damiao is off to Tottenham after the Olympics.

Don't know if that's old news or not. :)

They are good signings for Fiorentina IMO and nice to see such players in Serie A, even if they are mid table team.

talented player but very, very overrated/overpriced. Oscar is miles ahead of Lucas in just about every aspect and is already a better player than Lucas will ever be, imo.

I'd have to disagree. I don't know much about Oscar tbh but I don't think he's overrated at all. I think he'll hit the WC easily and Manchester will make it happen even faster.

don't know about that - brazilians, attacking players at least, usually don't adapt too well in the EPL, so Lucas going to ManU is a bit of a risky move for his career, I think. The same goes for Oscar, btw.

my gripe with Lucas is that while being very talented on the ball (hence why he is so popular with fans) he is a very limited player tactically, in terms of footballing intelligence; not a team player but too big an individualist, which makes him one-dimensional/predictable and easy to stop once you figure him out - the Brazilian Krasic, so to speak.

I expect him to have some success at first but once the EPL defenses get used to his trick (get the ball and run around with it till he loses it), he would be as big a secret to them as an open book, me thinks.

Maybe, you probably know him better than I do. But I don't think anybody expected C.Ronaldo to change his game so much when Sir Alex took him under his wings. But we'll see how it goes, I hardly see him failing.

Lucas will adapt in United and become much better as a player. Ferguson is really good at raising those kind of talents.

Got a feeling that Oscar is the guy who will fail in Chelsea rather than Lucas.

 are you kiddin' me? Oscar is overrated/overpriced as hell not Lucas, he can play on both wings, he can play as trequartista, he can play as second striker and oscar is limited as hell

actually, I expect both players to not live up to the expectations in the EPL, but for different reasons.

Lucas will find in ManU a team that suits him tactically but expect his limitations as a player to lead to his failure there, eventually.

As for Oscar he will find a weird situation in Chelsea in terms of how they intend to utilize him tactically - had they not bought Hazard, I could understand their getting Oscar ... and Chelsea has played till now with a style/formation which would have benefited more from someone like Lavezzi (oscar is not that type of player), with Hazard already there. Now, of course Chelsea may try to change their tactical approach compared to previous years but such changes are often shortlived especially if they don't have immediate success with it.

Time will tell.

you for real or what? using youtube clips to dig into the depths of a player's actual worth?

unlike you, I have actually seen both play on a regular basis both in Brazil and the NT, so no, I am not kidding you.

I agree.

Now lets discuss your teams mercato, Yanga-Mbiwa deal is off. Granqvist coming and partnering Mexes/Bonera?
