We'll see how many goals Matri scores next season won't we? Judging by how you rate him he'll score non and flop badly.
I never said he'll score zero goals, I said his price is insane and he's simply not worth it. You tried to bring Borriello who's mediocre in the argument and in the end it turns out that he's by no means worse than Matri when it comes to goals.

I think Borriello is mediocre, yes. But he's paid 7 million less while he score same amount of goals, not to say more.

Where have I ever said Matri was worth 17 Million man? You know from when we signed Matri I liked him but I never once justified the price. I did say if he scores another 20 goals next season he's easily worth the money we paid.

At this moment in time judging on last season Matri is levels above Borriello and is 3 years younger.

You never complained about the price. Actually, you think it was a good transfer and many times during the season you said he's well worth it, I remember.

Then again it's pointless you think they're overpriced I look at their performances for Juventus.
And yes, you never said his price was too much and you always wanted us to sign him.

Matri might be younger, but he's by no means 'on a whole other level' because he scored 5 goals more and he was NOBODY 2 seasons ago. Nobody even heard about him back then, while in that time Borriello was banging in goals.

Disagree or not, I know you like that move despite the price.

I don't rate him as much as you do and it goes down to that. :p
Aye I did not hide that I liked Matri coming. Thankfully for the 6 months of him being here he showed why I liked it. Hopefully next season he does the same.

You would not be the first to not rate players I like :D I have a weird selection of players I like :p

Well, I don't think that most here would object having Higuain as our prima punta.

However, considering the incompetence of Marotta, I will settle with Matri, who can do a good job too.

And yes, we overpaid.

Ok, now that who's better between Matri and Borriello has been settled, onto some real mercato :p :

VB wants Hulk and Falcao with him at Chelsea

Real M is still considering Aguero, even if they were to get Neymar, should they get a good offer for one of Higuain or Benzema

Mirror: Lampard, Drogba, Anelka, Malouda, Essien, Kalou, and Mikel could be leaving.
replacing all those players at once, with better or at least as good, would cost them 150-200 mil considering only Falcao+Hulk would be 70-80.
they will some back from sales but still ...

would love to see Drog and Essien in red and black though :p

Essien wil definately bring them 15 Million, Drogba and Anelka togheter will also bring the 12-15, Kalou and Mikel will be around 12 also, and Lamps will be another 8-10.
That would make it +/-45 million.

true, maybe even 50+ ... but Chelsea usually go for star players and not up-and-comers ... and I expect them to shop big time at Porto and those guys know how to skin their customers :)
I personally doubt they would make so many changes at once - especially selling Essien - but time will tell ... would be a fun summer with Chelsea rebuilding, Man City being Man City and PSG hitting those oil reserves :D

Indeed, they rarely take gambles with their transfers which of course results in higher prices.
By the way, I didn't see Benayoun in the possible out list, I imagine him being on the transfer list also, that adds another 5-8 to their funds.
Of course, they all need to be sold before they have the cash.

It indeed will be a fun summer.
