Partey to Arsenal is one of the best transfers this summer. They're apparently paying his release clause.
I found him to be Atletico's best midfielder over the last 2 games i watched him, tidy, strong, great passing and aerial ability. A gem of a midfielder, great buy by Arsenal.. 50M is a bargain even in this situation..

Can someone explain what's going on with PSG transfer strategy? All of a sudden they started getting scrubs for free or loans. Herrera, Florenzi, Kean, Rafinha, Bernat, Paredes. All that from Neymar, Mbappe, Cavani etc?

Bayern's kid CF backup prolly didn't cut it. Guessing Choupo Moting is better. Defends when your team is leading and has the experience now.

Every transfer is his career was free. So yeah, clear strategy there from him and agent.

What's his arsenil salary?
I read this morning that he gets £260,000 p/w after tax. So that would be €14.9m gross, €8.2m net (under UK tax laws). That's more than everyone at Juve bar Ronaldo, including Higuain and Pjanic of old.

He's a good signing but they did absolutely nothing in terms of negotiation - they paid the release clause and gave him a huge contract.

He was holding out for big pay day, so not surprised.

With that, being 27 and Simeone factor, happy we signed Wes instead.

He is way better then McKennie, Partey is strong ball winner, but its not what his game is limited to. He is like a more tactically conservative Pogba, excellent passing and drive with the ball.
