Not in my opinion, but then again I've not watched him play against the Augsburg's of the world week in week out. In CL when fit he has performed well. Always liked him as a player. Super smooth with the ball and such a great first touch that let's him have time on the ball.

Why comparing two different players at first place? He was the engine of this Bayern midfield and carried the team under Kovač where everyone wa all over the place. Judging him on G/A is just pointless.

I agree that he has some sick long passes and it's one of his biggest abillities but he won't be involved in attack that much. As for Liverpool fans, they probably haven't even watched him ever.

Just to be clear, I think he's a great player, and I'd have loved to have him at Juve, I just don't think he's a great fit for the PL, and especially for Liverpool.
