that's like my 3 months wages. lol

btw, just don't go for samsung.
why not for the samsung? Actuallt thinking about it $800 is quite a good price especially in my currency. for every maltese puound it is about $2.90 so the N93 would cost "only" Lm279. Which is a reasonable price. I mean i could buy that on my own and have a lot spare. Comparing to england where it is £549 and in my currency it would come Lm366.

because i bought a samsung a year ago and it's crap. i haven't met a person that's satisfied with it's battey life, which in every model is not longer than 2.5 days. i'm also having trouble with the stupid phone keeping the line, it crashes every 2nd call, i gave up on taking it to the repair shop already. perhaps it's just my model, sgh e800, but i don't believe it cause everyone i know says samsung are expensive and shite. nokia is expensive but good, at least i never had probs with it, so if you can afford it go for the nseries they seem awesome.

thanks v. My brother bought a samsung in september but he hasnt complained about it so far and neither the battery life. He bought the phone that slides up and down (very helpful i know :p). I'd love the N93 cause it looks fucking cool. But now my parents have to decide as they are paying it, even though i'm losing my razr for it, as my mother was going to buy the pebl but she didnt like the shape so she told my fatehr that they buy a mobile for me and she takes the Razr. I didnt complain

    What is CDMA?? 3G?
GSM 900 and 1800 use something called TDMA (Time division multiple acces)

3G use somethig called CDMA (Code division multiple access)

Briefly, the difference is they are two different kinds of decoding/encoding, TDMA uses time chunks and CDMA uses data chunks. I can compare them to the difference betwenn analog and digital in a very rough manner.

So to answer Ze's question, all 3G phones are CDMA.

    Jack's expertise;)

@Z: And yes 3G or CDMA works over here (in Saudi). Don't know about Bahrain, but probably yes.

    And W-CDMA is 4G?

    What does 4G offer? I mean service-wise. I don't want any technical mumbo-jumbo:D

If my memory doesn't fail me, W-CDMA is Wide CDMA and I guess this means it can provide a wider pipe thus a higher bandwidth. Better quality video conversations? Better transfer? Maybe we can start downloading movies on our mobiles.

It is like taboo if you don't have 3G, a camera, a microwave oven, a toothbrush, etc. on your phone.

These CDMA phones don't have GSM cards right? 'Cause then we're talking about the same thing. Also, are there palm phones over there new than the Treo 700. I wanna get a phone from abroad, thats why I'm asking.

3G phones use the same SIM card that works for GSM
