Exactly. If you have a 21 year old player with loads of potential and a 30 year old player waaay past his best, who are you going to play? The young guy of course, because he has years of top flight football in him and you need to help him improve even more.

If both the promising youngster and the 30 year old are doing well I'd play both of them for 90 minutes, and I'm not saying this because I'm a DP fan. Having Zalayeta sit on the bench for a whole game can't hurt, can it? And quite contrary to some people's belief, though Alex isn't as fit or as young as he once was, he isn't incapable of playing a full game.

you sure he is cappable of playing 90 mins ? what has happened every season he was playing 90 mins ?

remember, lets save DP for the game against La Corunia, DP takes a rest then he plays against Deportivo and, guess what, he gets injured.

    No Untouchables At Juve-Capello
    1/9/2005 11:48:00 PM
Even though Juventus skipper Alessandro Del Piero found the net against Livorno, he was replaced by coach Fabio Capello midway through the second half once again in this season.
“In that moment I needed a player like Zalayeta who could immediately make a mark on the match. My choices aren’t dictated by any particular positive or negative feelings I have towards a player,” Capello explained.

“They are no untouchables in my Juve. All the players have to understand this concept,” Capello added.

Juventus defeated Livorno 4-2 on Sunday to stay top of the Serie A table.
