Religions and their books teaches good things, helping the poor, respecting others etc etc.. but it should stay like a regular book, I learned a lot of positive things from the bible, It is a good book to read, as much as some atheists bash and make fun out of it.. imo it is good to read them to children, to raise them like that.. but after that, it should stop there! When they describe religious books as holly books, and that everyone should live the way it orders, all the bullshit just starts there. The hate, the human division comes just from there, as it happened and still happening, it leads to more than hate, to killing.
To answer your question Salman, yes, the world could be definitly a better place without religion, some of you said that people will kill each others, or will fuck each others in the street, ermm, there are laws for that, people can't do that, unless if they want to end up in jail..
as for the second part, Countries and nationalism.. that's a bigger problem, and no one even discussed about it
nationalism is even uglier, you are born somewhere, and has to be like the socity you are living in, even if you are different, you will always have the same treatment (good or bad) for just having that nationality.
and not to forget, more people been killed because of natonalism than because of religion. whish we could get rid of both of them!
