Today, Tuesday 31 July, Juventus commemorate a very sad anniversary for their history. Nine years ago, the Bianconeri’s club lamented the death of their President Vittorio Caissotti di Chiusano.
In 2003, Juventus were preparing for the final stage of the Italian Super Cup competition in New York against Milan. The team managed by Marcello Lippi won that clash and dedicated their victory to the memory of a man who gave his all to the whole club. He appeared for the first time at Juve in 1960 when he accessed the Board of Directors under Umberto Agnelli’s presidency. In the 70’s, he became vice-president and in 1990 he took over from Giampiero Boniperti thus becoming President. And for 13 years he played this key role in the best possible way, also enjoying several great successes.
On the occasion of the ninth anniversary of his death, Juventus remember Vittorio Chiusano, and in particular his figure as kind and passionate fan, as competent executive, but especially as man.
