Shouldn't this be obvious?
Not really, no. It means nothing.

No other clubs were interested in Ronaldo when we signed him, was he a bad player because of it? Were there any other clubs bar RM for Mbappe? No. Were there any other clubs for Cancelo bar City? No. Were there any other clubs interested in Barzagli when he came? No. Were there any other clubs interested in Pirlo? No.

First of all it is nobody's duty to report every single whisper of interest in themselves or their clients. Second of all even if it was it means nothing because there are very rarely auctions for players, it thins out and the club/player focus on each other.

And finally, for those of you who really need this - Milan, Tottenham and PSG were mentioned for Zaniolo the past few weeks. I guess that now means Zaniolo is a great player and we can finally welcome him.

Ronaldo and Mbappe = huge cost associated with it

Zaniolo is not some hidden gem, he's well known by now. He's at a stepping stone club. If he doesn't have suitors apart from some local-obsessed, clueless club, id ask questions. He's not worth what Roma ask for or he's made for stepping stone clubs

You're just clutching at straws honestly. Even if there were 10 clubs fighting tooth and nail for him those who don't want him would be laughing and saying they're crazy to care that much about a player with the same number of ACLs as goals in Serie A.

You're the one clutching at straws because you obviously like him.

In either case, both reasons, ACLs and lack of suitors are valid

No I am not because I acknowledge what a huge risk it is and still want to take a bet on him. I never said it's not a risk.

Number of suitors is the most irrelevant 'reason' ever. Where were all the suitors for Chiesa or Vlahović?

Milan were interested until his Juve focus became obvious. And PSG bid on him and were politely declined, this comes from Zaniolos own agent.
I guess Roma will just accept whatever we offer then

If PSG really wanted him they could offer 50M and get him. Milan lol, they'd probably offer a cheeky 5M loan with option to buy for 30M

Milan were indeed cheapskating it lol. So easy for them to bounce of the circle.

But Spurs and PSG were genuinely interested in him and Zaniolo and his agent weren't budging. This dude is just waiting for us to sign him.

Lol Vlahovic would've been a Bayern or Liverpool player by now had we not signed him in January. He had plenty of suitors.

It's fairly obvious not a lot of foreign teams want to bet on Italian talents especially not one with busted knees

It's one thing to take a risk on Zaniolo, it's a completely different thing to take a bet on him for 50 fucking million especially when you need to desperately reinforce other positions

But you're obviously a massive fanboy so there's no point arguing this with you.

Chief of muppets in mercato section

I'll bookmark your account for mentioning purposes after JJ gets ripped into 10 pieces by a wolverhampton-sized club in CL while Sunnyolo is recovering at JJ medical

It's tough to know for sure when you get these players from mid-table teams who don't face parked buses. There are alot of similarities with Bernardeschi in Fiorentina where he is just taking huge space because of the room on counters. But how will he do in very tight areas at the top of the box? Who knows, really.

But then again, what other kind of player would fit any better in this current setup? All we do is launch counters from our own box so in that sense, a physical beast like Zaniolo is actually ideal.
Yeah, very valid point.. Berna was pretty great during his time in Fio and really was excited with him joining.. but Zaniolo does look more of a player that has the brains and technical ability to succeed even when facing parked buses..

I wanted this guy so bad before his injury. Still thinks he got what it takes. Only concern is what his best position is.
