Tbh i personally wouldn’t stress too much on this, with our luck i’m just glad it’s only him and not someone whom is actually key and crucially important to our starting XI, which is what we’ve gotten accustomed to ever so often.

Only Viega comes to mind! I'd keep Savona, his capability of preforming as CB and LB, solid option for the bench and accept being backup and playing in th rotation system.

I like savona a lot as a CB in tudors system. Its the same formation/position he broke out in with next gen. I also liked Tudor experimenting with him in the middle of the backline during club world cup. Hes good on the ball for a CB and doesnt get rattled.

Villareal must definitely see something in him that we didn’t to go as far as to break their own transfer record while also most rumors suggest there’s also a high sell on clause attached to it… or maybe that’s what happened, we probably would have been willing to come close to the ~€30M price but not with a sell on clause too, making us pull out.

We’re stuck with Kelly i guess although personally i would have chosen Veiga over him or Savonna all the way, but won’t stress too much over it.

Im not sure, I think we are overrating him somewhat, is he a 30 mill player? Perhaps but he had glaring flaws in the back 3 system. In a back 4 hes better but he did show some flaws still. I think we would have been better off getting Hancko, I think he went to Atletico for something similar but he would have solved more of our defensive problems in terms of what we need than Veiga.

I know that opinions are divided on him around here, i won’t get into that, but obviously out of his price tag a large chunk of it is his age and potential to further grow and eventually increase his value, which in my view he had what it takes.
