Yup.

That's his level.

People forget that if you take away his gambling issues, if you take away his weak personality, if you take away his untrustworthiness, you're left with a mediocre player.

We should get rid of this guy as soon as possible.
Benzema and Ribery have weak personality, maybe even untrustworthiness, yet they turned out to be great players. Talent nurtured in the right way can even make you a champion (though admittedly you need both). Whether Fagioli has talent... is another thing.

when ribery was around fagioli age he was starring for france in wc 2006

when benzema was fagioli age he was starring for madrid along ronaldo.

not same level at all. fagioli should be compared to aquiliani.

he's not even that good. marchisio and pogba were first team players around his age for juve. fagioli was playing in serie b around pogba's age

I'm not talking about talent or how good he is, just personality. Both Benzema and Ribery had plenty of controversy during their careers but turned out. Fagioli is of course nowhere near and aquilani is a good shout, maybe even montolivo.

Hes alright but we have been accepting mediocrity the last yew years, so im not surprised a lot of ppl here thinks hes gonna be great.

Cmmon guys, just ask the question: would real madrid even consider fagioli in their bench?

Im ok with us trying to develop him and using him as we dont have many better options now. But we must raise our bar higher again and get more world class midfielders.

Not a great game...but why did he start? I get him being a sub but starting was a surprise after missing as much football as he has. He also back passed a shit tonne cuz nothing upfront was moving. Scammaca was a statue and the wingers found zero space...all round shit performance from the team. Not saying fagioli was impressive, but no one played over a 5/10 in that game.

Anyway there is a reason giuntoli is going hard to get midfielders. Fagioli wont start of we get the 3 midfield targets.

After last night's game I don't think playing in front of the defense suits him. His lack of physicality and defensive positional awareness are red flags for that role.

I hope Motta use him as wide midfielder or cam.

That’s a pretty brutal but apt comparison.

We can't "develop" him.

Fagioli is 23. Players start their peak around that age. This is peak Fagioli. He's mediocre at best, it's surprising he made it to Serie A to be honest.

There is no reason we should accept his (many many many) character flaws.

We need to cut him now.

Depends, some players peak later. Hes an okay player, we need homegrown players for the bench and if he gets better with time, all the better. Some of you have unreasonable expectations. If we improve our midfield this summer, Fagioli will come off the bench which is fine. This much hate for someone that struggled with addiction is insane. I hope you are just trolling everyone with this shit, like your friend above.

They supported him for 7 months, nobody is cutting him! I think it's only pure age related mistake he made, one that we all have done in some shape and form.

I don't mind the addiction. I get that.

It's his behaviour afterwards.

We will never be able to count on Fagioli. He's just not a serious person. He's a joke.

Expecting him to carry Italy in his second game madness of course. There’s only 1 guy to blame and that’s Spalletti.
I expected him to deliver slightly below average performances for Juventus.

He failed to meet those expectations.

What did he do?
I dont consider him a world beater but he is good enough to come off the bench, at least for now. Before the betting scandal he was regularly playing for us.

I thought thats exactly what he did before suspension, average or slightly above average games from him. However, expectations were high as is usually the case here with any new young player breaking through and since it became obvious he aint Pirlo, people turned on him.
