I think it would for 90% of the Belgians who live in Flanders, yes. Most would even have faster acces anyway. I don't know about our Southern fellow countrymen though.

I saw a report that showed how many americans have not any health insurance. such a thing is not possible in Germany.

not to call you a liar but i will only believe it when i see it. I know for a fact that in england it takes people months to get appointments with doctors. And i see that you laos brought up the significance of the social and goegraphic factors in the availability and access to these services. the wallons, not as socially prominent, would have harder time. In chicago, i know of a place, cook county hospital, where anyone armed with a little patience can see a doctor and get medication the same day all for free.

insurance is not state sponsored so if you dont have a job that rpovides ins. packages for you and your family it is your responsability to purchase it. So anyone with a source of income can secure it. So the real question here is state sponsorship or providing an environment where people have access to jobs (usa unemployment rate 4% germany: 11%) and less of a fiscal burden the better option?

Look, both of my parents are doctor, so I definitely know how long it would take the average patient to get an appointment with them. It might take people months in England, but it sure doesn't here.

If you get shot or are about die, you can get seen pretty quickly in the US. I had pnuemonia in the summer and had to wait a month to see my doctor. So I just went to the the emergency room and waited 10 hours to get told to go see my doctor. But I had a doctor before this guy that would see me at the drop of a hat if I was sick. In that case it all depends on the doctor, not the system. But socialized medacine seems easier because you dont have to worry about if you can pay or not.

PS Pharmacutical companies make too much money.
