Born and raised in the United States within an American family that had no prior interest in the sport itself. I guess I would have to say I'm rather unique indeed.

As for your question, I have several friends who know about European football, including Burke and other guys of previous soccer teams I have been a part of. To say Americans are completely clueless about soccer is an unfair generalization because I know a lot of people who love the sport and indeed know who Ronaldinho is...however if you ask some random guy on the street of some hick town in my country, of course they will not have a clue about soccer. It just depends on WHERE you happen to be and who you ask. But unfortunately I would have to say the majority of my compatriots know nothing about European football.

That said, soccer is the fastest growing sport in the country so hopefully more will fall in love with it.

Man I really miss Fedorov... He's my favorite player of all time.

No way will Zetterberg be the next Yzerman. Hockey will never see such a great leader for any city ever again, and since times have changed I really doubt he will have close to the same number of points as Stevie.

That said, he's still a fantastic player, one of the best young forwards in the league.
