Not that important? I guess goalscorers do all the work themselves then.
TBH scoring the goal is always the hardest. Even when it looks like an easy tap in it's by far the most difficult thing to do.

not true andrew.
True in most cases, yes. Of course goals such as the one Del Piero scored yesterday are without a helper, however you would be lying to yourself if you deny the assist is sometimes just as important as the goal.

Sometimes it is.

I just don't understand how scoring a tap in goal is more difficult than dribbling around two defenders and sliding a through ball into space behind the rest of the defense just out of reach of the goalkeeper for a player to tap home. How is that easier than tapping the ball in the net? Doesnt make any sense.

Well, look at it this way: say you're standing on the sidewalk and a car is heading straight for you at 150 km/h... :D

not all assists are like that.
Did I say they were??

And what about the perfect cross to the foot of a player on the goal line...oh it's just soo hard to let the ball hit your foot and roll into the net.

Fact is in many cases without the assist there would be no goal...the ball would not fall around the net and obviously the score of the match would not have changed at all.

Because the pressure on you is way lower.

Oh and you're an idiot. Goes for you also Zlatan, although you're mostly an arrogant prick who thinks he can decide what is right and what is wrong.
