Nesta Denies Video Game Injury
channel4.com

Alessandro Nesta has laughed off rumours a video game addiction caused an injury that will keep him sidelined for a month.

“I have to admit that I was a little surprised by the theory that my finger injury was caused by my passion for video games,” said the defender on Milan’s official website.

“Frankly I don’t think the two elements can be put together, especially as this is only a hobby and not affecting my professional conduct.”

 Nesta is the man. And even if he did injure himself by playing video games, it's all good as well.

Lou, I have a few questions if you don't mind me asking..

I know you are a Catholic like myself, and I want to find out your reasoning behind voting for the Republican ticket...assuming you are a registered Republican in California.

Do you support the Republican party because of their stance on religious aspects of our society...including topics such as abortion or gay marraige? Or do you support the Republican party for other reasons, such as a family history in supporting the party? In your voting history, how much bearing does religion have on your voting decisions?

Reason why I'm asking is because I find this topic of voting agendas by various demographic and socioeconomic characteristics very interesting.

Andy, when you hear "religion" or "God" come up in political talk, do you automatically think "Republican Agenda"? I often do, and I know very well that there are many religious people in the Democrat party. It really bothers me that the Republicans have hijacked religion and painted Democrats as the godless nation of baby killers.

I myself am a godless baby-eating Socialist, so I am proud to be painted that way, but it certainly has made a great many Democrat candidates inelectable, which is unfortuante.

Both, actually. :)

My grandfather/mother were immigrants and the only (or one of the few) in the neighborhood to vote Republican. They believed (and I believe) that government's role is to
1.Defend it's citizens
2.provide just courts
3.help those who genuinely need help, and can't get it elsewhere. (By this I mean, it should be primarly the responsibility of local institutions-churches, charitable organizations, etc--to provide relief. Only if they fail, should it be government's job to step in. Many respond with "but that's dehumanizing" to which I answer : no more dehumanizing than trapping whole families for generations on subsistence-level government "aid")

I also vote Republican, because I believe that no amount of government aid is going to help you if you are killed (by abortion, by euthanasia, by the government doing a lousy job at #1 above).

BTW, I am consistently pro-life, ie, against the death penalty except when there is absolutely no other way to protect society. Which may come as a surprise to some of you. :)

spanish is overrated. Go Portuguese :)!
That's what I have my wife for. :)

Though she doesn't natively speak Brazilian Portuguese, or even continental, but rather Azores Portuguese ... which has been pretty much frozen in time since the 1400s :dazed:.

Oh, and I love her to death. Today's our wedding anniversary.

Indeed Robert. And this is where people must sift through the facts and the nonsense and form opinions for themselves, not just follow their superior influences like dog on leash. Last year during the elections we had to suffer through the "if you're religious, vote Republican" nonsense and god knows how much influence this slander had on the elections.
