Could someone explain to me what the f*ck is going on in New Orleans??
1. Why has FEMA, the American Red Cross and Homeland Security been sitting on their arses??
2. Why haven't they deployed workers to the Superdome before anything else? Its hell on earth in there.
3. Didn't someone think of medical-food-boats distributing water, food and medicine?
4. This is a quintessential example of how f*cked up the human race really is....ANY opportunity to go apesh*t is jumped upon...people getting shot and raped in the street and electronic stores being emptied...are these people that sick that the minute they are not 'watched' over they become animals...then again, even animals wouldn't do some of the sh*t humans do....

The mayor of New Orleans was on the radio yesterday, and he was furious at our government. I can't blame him, to be honest. We're so quick to help other countries with their disasters, yet we can't even do anything at home.

It's called red tape; and the ever conflicting Federalism and state authority. As far as the henious acts, I personally wouldnt put the whole human race in the same basket. Those acts are underlying symptoms to social problems that have existed in the south and other "ghettoized" urban areas throughtout the states. A compact community with a sense of decency(which relates back to the whole mardi gras debauchery subject) wouldn't display a similar behavior.
But if I had to blame on entity, the obvious choice is the president. This disaster is tantamount to 9 11 but it took the president three days to get NGs in town; let alone come out and speak for a united patriotic front to get through these tough times. But i guess his childish good Vs evil similes wont work this time.

What was it called with the Tsunami when the response was much better or 9/11 when rangers, green berets and marines roamed times squares less than two hours after the attacks?
The problem is that they are trained for disasters and not for aftermaths ..
Same thing happened in Los Angeles when the Lakers won....Chicago when the Bulls won...Detriot when the Red Wings won and Montreal when the Canadiens won. THe minute there is a sign of weakness on the part of law enforcement the mob mentality takes over.
