I remember you and I share the same view that English football is given priority clearance here in the States while Italian calcio is given the backseat and not portrayed as nicely and objectively as it should...

But the american media IS biased towards english football. Just grab any major newspaper sport's section and all the news they have is about english football. Same with ESPN
Andrew, you haven't figured out that the US media and US population is generally terrified of anything that is not spoken in the English language? English 3rd division football is in, Real Madrid v. Barcelona must never be released to the cowering masses.

As I stated before, the majority of football specific media outposts are controlled by British fans and marketeers, and in some cases have agreements with Sky Sports and BBC sports to boradcast their shows. ESPN also has Englishmen running the place, and they continue to feed us biased opinions about football.

Thats true but it also happens in other languages. For example ESPN in spanish always prefers the spanish league. Most spanish speaking countries get more spanish football than any other. I guess thats how it is everywhere in the world
