Like I said Shadowfax,If you are annoyed of some posters, put them on your ignore list, and don't blame them for puting their threads in wrong forums, most of us did that..English is not their first language..So have some patience and Enjoy your stay ;)

I think everything is clear now, let's drop this..

Like I said I was speculating. You can't really blame me for guessing what the reason is and being wrong, it's just based on my general impression of you on how you carry yourself here. In any case, speculation isn't terribly valuable and now that you've said why, I don't see a reason to persist.
Fair enough, i have no need to argue with you on this... Though maybe you should consider the idea that a persons way of writing is jus a persona... it allways is

That does actually make perfectly good sense but I've never heard anyone bring this up as a concern. Ive asked people who requested deletion why they wanted it, I never got a real answer.
I cant speak for others that have asked , but on the two occasions i have asked you (before and today) the reason has allways been the same... And in all fairness you have jus plainly said no... not asked me for a reason...

You would have saved trouble by granting my request before.. as with the account deleted io would never have returned...

Whereas whilst there is an account and my details are held.. i will allways post at some point

Like I said, perhaps we should make it clear that a users input on a forum is considered some kind of a carrier agreement. It's still your material and you can edit any post you ever made but you allow us to display it for the purpose of the forum. Otherwise what point is there to run a forum where members will erase every trace of participating, leaving potentially good threads destroyed? If you wish to delete a post, you can do it but we won't batch process it for you because it's not in our interest. It's neither pervasively your property or ours, it's some kind of compromise.
That is a tricky issue, for instance you say someone can edit their posts, but if you remove their account as requested they no longer have the ability to edit said posts... do they...

You also have the current stickiness of the fact that we signed up under one management and then it changed...

But yes there is compromise...

Btw account deletion can only be done by the admin.
Im aware of that... I was quoting your post as you questioned why... the only person i asked was Z

Any response to my post could easily have went both ways. Thats what you do, same with the hints at leaving but never leaving. Same impact, no price to pay. Its commendable actually.

Though Im not totally convinced everything was so innocent, Ill have to take your word for it.

With regards to account deletion. The owner of this forum is obliged to do that. You have no choice. And the reasons for someone wanted their account and traces removed really dont even need to be discussed, fairly obvious.

This forum is full of shit.

Perhaps we should stop having this ****ing village mentality. It's an internet forum FFS. We're not some English village in the Middle Ages.

I think that was just a policy that crystalized at some point sooner after people started asking and I didn't always ask for a reason after that.

Exactly.

Had this problem been worked out before, it would have been logical for the new management to take a stand on the policy and either announce a change or continue as before. But it hasn't been dealt with, just going on personal judgement.

wise words.

Take it as it is. To many people with too many opinions and too much time on their hands. Why make it better? Just do what the fvck you want without having some turdfaced moderators bugging you. Get rid of the moderators to hell, the entire forum can be Nick against the World. This thread isnt moderated and look how strong it is. Users will find their groups and find their threads. Protection will be found from other members not moderators. We should stone the moderators to death for being as geeky as the milk boys in school. A new member who opens threads in the wrong places will soon learn not to, because he will be torn apart for it. Members will not take part if it is beyond them. Anyone who cant take it drops out. We will lose some cops, we will lose some Americans/Brits and we will lose some idiots who cant spell. Better and better and better until it explodes. Then we start again.

Now THAT is a Blandest powered Juventuz :D

Why don't you build a forum from the ground based on those principles and show us how far you can get. Instead of taking a reasonably healthy community and ruin it.

Well, some of the best discussions on this forum are found in this very thread, and if people are not ready to post here yet members give them shite and tell them to find another thread their speed. Thus far it has worked, except for only a few exceptions.

But try that with a whole forum and I can't help but feel it would be madness.
