Those relationships don't need sex. I for one believe you should never have sex with your best female friends (or in your case male friends), because most of the time the relationship you have with them is something special. Something which is bound to disappear the moment sex kicks in. Being in a strictly monogamous situation looks like a disaster to me. Well, not exactly a disaster, since I would be getting sex after all, but still.

It's not always "just sex". It's just not a relationship. You may like the person, but IMO you need to make sure you're not tied up to them. A best friend is still a lot more important IMO.
Actually Im starting to think like that too but sometimes I see people (old people) that you can see in their eyes that they love each other and have been together all their lives. So is that just a coincidence?
