In your face Jeeks, both Andy and Kaiser chose my avatars instead of yours :p

:D ;)
Well, your avatar was selected just because it was the last one to be posted. And for the other one Jeeks messed up the pixel count. :D

i have to get close to screen just to see the border. its not worth the toruble

Thats the whole point, the border has to be barely visible. It's dark green. Would you rather I made it yellow? Plus I fixed the size to 100x100. ;)

i have never worked with photoshop but i can imagine it being something like this.

Tools / Add Border / Choose border color / ok

I do it in Fireworks MX.

Adn I never chose one of the preset colors, I pick one that already in the avatar, the predominant one.

Thanks for the avatar help guys.

If any of you are wondering, Bodyboarding is perhaps the coolest friggin sport in the world.
I'm heading to the big island of Hawaii in a month. I fully expect to return with the flesh on my chest fully exfoliated like I've been through a giant cheese grater ... from all the chest plants I'm going to do into the sand bars. ;)

Sweet, sounds good Greg. So do you use a board to manuever through the waves, or do you just old school it and body surf? Are you couragous enough to surf a place such as Pipeline where 15 foot swells break over your head? ;)

Hawaii is one of the places on my shortlist that I must visit before I die. I have not even set foot on one of the Islands and I can already sense that there is something special about the place, and that is not just because you can travel to the North Shore and ride 20 foot waves every week. It has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.

I do a lot of body surfing -- both because I'm clearly not skilled at the balancing act it takes to do any boarding well, but also because I do like the "zen" nature of it being you and the waves and nothing inbetween.

But no -- I try to avoid the 15' pipelines. :scared: It's enough for me to drive a few miles down from my home to Half Moon Bay where I can watch Mavericks about a mile offshore with binoculars on occasion (a nice, safe distance). ;)

As for Hawaii itself, it's alright. I think it's overrated by a lot of folks. There's something messed up like about a 9 month average stay for new residents... they vacation there, get excited, decided to buy property, move in, and realize they're landlocked, they've run out of things to do, and they still need to work for a living. Having been to my wife's native Azores -- which you could almost call a kind of Hawaii in the Atlantic -- I actually prefer them a lot more to Hawaii. But for different reasons (at least as beautiful, but far less developed, etc.).

Though if you're into surfing, there's something about the North Coast of Oahu and Maui that are really intense - the wind and waves are constantly pounding the shores. It's not uncommon to see people surfing and a helicopter overhead, pulling some unfortunate fool out.

Hawaii is worth visiting before you die. But on the downside, it has some of the most hideous architecture in the world (particularly Honolulu), the food is incredibly bland, the tourist thing gets a bit too heavy depending on where you go, and it attracts too many mainlanders as residents who are little better than Polynesian hippie wannabes.

The Azores look like a very nice place as well, however are there decent waves down there? :D

But yes the main attraction I feel to Hawaii is the great surfing and laid-back Island lifestyle that we see being portrayed in certain movies I remember. Living in a beach cabin just a hundred yards away from the shoreline, waking up every morning to sun, waves, and a beautiful hawaiian surfer girl sounds like good simple living to me. Although, everything gets old after a while.
