Chelsea have been playing hard ball with the Crespo situation. They are frustrated that Hernanito does not want to play for them and wants to stay at Milan. They are frustrated they can't get a Shevchenko or Adriano despite the Russian's DECLARATIONS. In the end, they couldn't even agree on terms with Kaladze. So as their own pay back to both AC Milan and Hernanito they decide to keep him despite the so-called 'cordial relationship between the teams'. With this Milan was stuck was an off again on again Tommasson and an Inzaghi who has played less games than Brocchi. Vieri is a former Inter player...costs little and looking back at Pirlo and Crespo Milan thought "why not": Bobo may get a second wind..Bobo may be hungry for action and Bobo may want to go out in 'style'. I would have rather had Crespo any day...but so be it.
That said, I will not be satisfied with this ATTACK as is. We are actually weaker as we lost Crespo and replaced him with an older slower player with less talent. Gilardino will make me smile again. Presently, Galliani states the Milan transfer window is closed.
He said the same thing in August of 2002 along with "we cannot afford high priced players such as Cannavaro".
Two days later Milan announced the purchase of Nesta.
