I find it ironic that certain fans are annoyed with and hate Chelsea for buying players when their own teams have bought 95% of their squad. Whats the difference? Chelsea have done it faster? They have spent more money? That's not a reason to hate them. The richer you are the more you will pay.
Ok. But there is a way to do it with CLASS or rather without being a SH*T DISTURBER as “the Russian” does with statements like “WE WANT SHEVA” or “HOW MUCH FOR KAKA”. When Milan or Juve make BIG BUYS they usually create smokescreen and then swoop in at the last minute. Example: Nesta and Cannavaro. These acts Chelsea pulls that a la Barnum Bailey Circus Promoter proclaiming their next BIG DEAL.

More over, there is just no price for a Maldini or a Baresi or to some extent a Del Piero (meaning home grown talent)...what they give the team no player will no matter HOW BIG his PURCHASE PRICE.

Maybe you want to play the destroying players careers card. How many players careers have Juve/Inter/MU destroyed? More than Chelsea i'm thinking.
I don't thats why inviduals hate Chelsea...I think its because they are trying to create what MAN U created in the late 90's..the team that every non-football fan will love or jersey they will wear with absolutely no understanding for the game.

To many people are just jealous of their power. They didn't buy any championships. (Maybe thats what Juve do but this dosent work over here ;)). They have played every game the same as every other club. They have played as a team and won their points and earned their position at the top of the league and in the CL Semi..
WHOA!!! I HAVE SEEN AC MILAN..I HAVE SEEN REAL MADRID (in terms of CL HISTORY) and CHELSEA HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO BEFORE THEY CAN PUT THEMSELVES ON THAT LEVEL.
What the hell has Chelsea won??????????/

But tell me. How many Juve players have been developed from youth and not purchased by a millionaire? Think about it. ..
I agree somewhat but I wouldn't SCOLD Juve for this because at the end buying Del Piero years ago and developing him might as well be like developing him..that said,
Zambrotta, Del Piero and Tacchinardi can be said to be homegrown talent.

If your gonna say Zamby is a juve development (a guy with 60 top flight games with bari) then you might aswell say Joe Cole is a chelsea development.

And yeah theres John Terry, so whats your point Nick?

The rest requires time and thought, and im going out now so I'll reply tomorrow or sometime.

No Shadowfax, wasnt me. Though I can tell he's a smart guy. :D

i dont like chelsea though i dont hate them. some players - terry, lampard, robben are even among my favourites. but i'd rather see them lifting the cup than milan. ffs, its hard enough when they have 6 cups compared to our 2. pool taking it would be the best.

    come on you reds!

    true that

Well look it depends on how strict you interpret homegrown…because in that case only a player who comes from the within the system is homegrown. Maldini, Baresi, Albertini, etc. By this interpretation Juve has practically NO home grown players…even Del Piero was picked up by Foggia I believe it was who had a string of players…I think its fair to say that if a player develops by leaps and bounds once acquired despite playing 60 or 1000 games then the club (purchasing club) had a lot to do with his becoming who he is..much like if he was homegrown.

Del Piero played for Padova before he came to Juventus. So he can't really be called a home grown player, but he was here when he was 19 and has always supported Juventus. So I, like you, believe Del Piero could be called a homegrown player. But then again, in a way the same goes for Lampard. Sure, Lampard already was a pretty good player before he joined Chelsea, but he only became this great playing for them. Turning an average player in a great player is a club effort as well.

DEL PIERO PLAYED A GRAND TOTAL OF 14 MATCHES with Padova. All of which in Serie B. 14 matches with 1 goal. Does anybody really want to argue that Padova developed Del Piero?

    I didn't think so.

How much is a ticket for Milan - Juve?
depends the seating..depends if you buy via a CLUB example Milan Club Bologna or Juve club Gaetano Scirea Bari or whatever...
from scalpers...I would say anywhere from 60 to 90 euros for a curva seat

What are your chances of showing up right before the match outside the San Siro of getting a ticket from scalpers? Would it be a risk worth taking, especially flying over from here?
