Yes it is the best solution.

But there's a lot of work to be done. Borrow a leaf from the English in terms of crowd control. Have cameras all over the place, give a few people a life time stadium ban...

Things will shape up.

Isn't it funny, I've listened to more than enough news articles on the Inter-Milan match, and I noticed that not one of them talks about the Sheva head butt...

Can you ever? Lets put this into perspective here, this isnt a regular occurance, or more the amount of flares was rare, but games arent always abandoned, i'm sorry to say but I feel sorry for Inter, the ref in that game sucked and we all know how much it would of meant to the fans for them to of beaten Milan, so I can understand why they were upset, obviously they did the wrong thing but really what can you do? Football athorities dont go, okay the ref made the wrong decisions let us put Inter through, they were going out wrongly and they re-acted badly...

In the first 5 minutes...(4th min) I think, Sheva walks up to him and head-butts him straight in the face, I am very surprised he got away with it, the lineman is looking right at them!!

This is why I amthinking that we will be out tonight, Liverpool are an easier target for Chel$ki

and about banning flares.. is there really any difference if coins or bottles are thrown onto the pitch. flares just make it look worse. probably all of you saw the key that was thrown on the pitch. what if that hit dida in the eye? so, should keys also be banned.

it shouldnt be about banning things, its about doing somethings with the fans that throw those things to the pitch. as nicole said, its those flares that make atmosphere in italian games so great.

to be honest, if i was an inter fan and refereeing would be the same as last night and i had a flare... dont know what i would do with it.
True. Perhaps we should think about that instead of judging Inter fans so easily. Sure, it shouldn't have happened, but who's to say we wouldn't have done the same?

No way!! Flares make Italian football great, it creates a fantastic atmosphere, banning it is the WRONG thing to do!!
This coming from a country where they kill more people in the stands each year than the Armies of Europe combined.

I think they are straight homo, they block the view from tv, and they burn at 1600°F which is a fire risk, get out.

You dont need a bloody Flare to have an entertaining game ffs. It should be banned! Not only because the fas threw them on to the pitch, but also because those shit create so much smoke sometimes that you cant see the freakin game on TV properly, everything seems cloudy.

What has that got to do with flares? I've never said that side of the game is good...

Like Fli said, so what do we ban? Keys, coins, bottles? What next chairs in case the fans throw them, hey why not just stop people going to watch games altogether, then no-one can throw anything on the pitch...but last time I saw that Roma vs Real, it was so sad to see the seats empty, it was a sad moment to see a great stadium, with a great atmosphere so quiet...:sob:

Oh FFS sake what game did you watch? Inter was hardly innocent and the victim and Inter was not robbed of a damn thing. Materazzi and Cordoba were hacking down players like lumberjacks and the yellow cards were evenly distributed. More over, that headbutt was far from intentional as the Matrix charged Sheva AND he got up 30 seconds after apparently 'being headbutted'.
    Fact: INTER WAS DOWN 2-0.
Fact: INTER WAS DOWN 1-0 AT THE HALF ON A PERFECTLY LEGAL GOAL.
Fact: INTER NEEDED 4 GOALS TO MAKE IT THROUGH.
Fact: INTER may have scored a correct goal in the 30th minute of the second half making them need another 3 goals in 15 minutes. Something they could not do in the last 225 minutes against Milan.

Your actually going to state that Inter was robbed? Robbed of what...they played a much more talented and organized squad which beat them in the last 2 encounters....Inter may have been denied a goal with 15 minutes left but they were NOT denied a win.

SELL THAT SH*T TO THE TOURISTS.
