Nah that's alright Sergio, I should have made myself more clear.
I think, and although I am far from an expert on the subject, that the reason that a lot ofthese ethnic groups try to keep to themselves and not become "Americanized", is the backlash that they would receive from their own communities for forsaking their culture in favor of our own.
Which brings me to another question.
Since this country was based on immigration, and integration of all types of people, is there really an American Culture, so to speak?
There's an American Way of Life, which depending on who you speak to, can be interpreted a number of different ways, but is there really an American Culture, one or a number of things that a vast majority of Americans do on a daily, or weekly basis?
