Well, Carroll sure is a good keeper. Sir Alex is just an idiot starting him in front of Tim Howard, and NOW we should see Timmy getting another chance.

Wonderful match by Milan, everything went according to plan. Pirlo and co controlled the middle of the park, basically shutting down Manure with the amount of possession the Rossoneri had. Milan had to slow down the match enough to their liking, the wonderful Italian pace of play, and once they obtained control of the match Manure could not break through the Milan defense. Sir Alex wanted his team to play quick and strike on the counter attacks, but Milan is just too skilled for that sort of play.

Seedorf shot the ball right at Carroll and he fumbled it into the path of Crespo, giving Milan the only goal of the match. Milan basically had the better run of play, while Manure did miss some good chances.

Pirlo was the best player on the pitch today, and he surely is Milan's most important player. His passing range is supurb, his touch is immaculate, his positioning is sound, and he never runs out of ideas with the ball. What a player..

Nesta was right up there with Pirlo for the post match awards, as the #13 showed everyone that he is indeed the best defender in the world. Rooney and Giggs could not do anything out there because of Nesta.

Right now my bet is that Milan will win the Champions League. They have brilliant players in defense to shut down almost anyone, and their creativity gives them the power to control the match and bring it to the opposition. No team matches up with them at the moment. Nobody.

Barcelona to win it, they destroyed Chelski tonight. I think the shot ratio says it all

Barcelona: 34/13

Chelsea: 2/0

(Shots/Shots on target)
but Barcelona have some defence problems

Destroyed Chelsea? Only after DROGBA was sent off for being an idiot. Milan beat Barca once on aggregate, and after tonight they will do it again.

Barca lacks the depth to compete in both the CL and La Liga, and their defense is just not good enough.

that too and their bench...what qality players it holds
That's what I meant.

And they have the most quality depth of any team in Eruope at the position, that in my opinion is needed most, and that's in midfield.

Look at who they bring in OFF THE BENCH:

Serginho
Rui Costa
Ambrosini
Dhorasoo

Those four could start for most Serie A squads

Drogba was sent off in the 56th minute, where was Chelsea before that?

And barcelona probably have more depth than we do. if they werent so injury struck they would be even scarier. Maxi was great tho, really impressed me.

So could Appiah, Tacchinardi, Olivera and Kapo

Actually Rui Costa would be a key player for Juventus, same with Serginho. I would take Ambrosini over Blasi anyday, however Massimo looks better because of players like Kaka and Seedorf around him.

They will at least reach the semis

Shutting down Barca while creating chances for themselves. I don't know what everyone's love for Barca is because they have not been that impressive when you look past their attack. Having a player sent off can change faces of games like no other.

I have to disagree with you on that, Z.

I would take Milan's midfield reserves over ours anyday of the week

Sarcasm Serge, hence the :wallbang:

;)

I dont really call 2 shots creating chances.
