No, my quality of life has not slipped, and I get out very frequently. But really, that doesn't matter at all here on the forums. People are too quick to judge on topics invloving people's real lives.

I like Nirvana as much as the next guy, but these latest exhumed releases from them? I can understand the interest by avid fans of back catalog and all, but if this were the only material the world heard of Nirvana, they'd be considered pure crap.

Unless you're a religiously devoted fan blind to Nirvana possibly making any failures that should never have been released, I would recommend digging through old Mudhoney albums before recommending the latest dregs.

No way. Yes alot is demo, unfinished and cut songs. But theres still an albums worth there that make mudhoney look like nothing. Im a big mudhoney fan, also soundgarden and alice in chains. But some of these unreleased Nirvana songs are better than the very best these other bands had to offer. Nirvana were on a different level.

This album is well worth it, even if it was only for Clean up before she comes, blandest and They hung him on a cross. There is so much here, the live songs are fantastic. Nirvana at their sketchy and raw best.

If you like commercial Nirvana and only like Smells like teen spirit' you wont like it. But if like me, you like In Utero and the mess that is bleach this album is a must. This is as real as Nirvana gets, and mudhoney can take their garbage away for now hehe

I like Bleach, Nevermind, and In Utero. And yes -- there are a very few cuts, like Oh The Guilt, that are solid (I'd disagree on prolific noodlings of Clean Up Before She Comes, Blandest, and They Hung Him on the Cross). But it hardly supports the filler on the rest of it.

Music labels are incredibly cynical when it comes to repackaging re-released material in this manner. A lot of cuts released in this fashion are little more than mistakes that take on a "posthumous " life of their own by the music labels ... and they are targeted to the tunnel-vision fans who think more is necessarily better. Fans who are treated like the five-year-olds who would watch a DVD of The Little Mermaid 7 38 times before even considering branching out a little.
