Dosent the fact that your church requires absoultely no dedication show you that it could be bull?

Dosent any church who dont mind people getting drunk seem wrong?

Dosent any church were some old guy can forgive your sins by making you say a few chants seem alittle off?

Doesn't any church that condemns masturbation seem a little off?

How can we subscribe to any theology that disagrees with Wanking for Distance competitions?

And River, if you can find a religion that gives the thumbs-up to alcohol, stick with it, don't protest it.

If im looking for a religion. Im gonna want one that is right. Or else im wasting my time. The catholic church to me seems to easy, seems like a make myself feel better kinda thing. Sergio mentioned people not converting to catholic church. Of course they arent. The only people who are catholics are people who have always been catholic and are doing it purely out of tradition.

I just dont figure out the 'Ok im going to go out tonight, I drink loads of alchohol and drugs until i pass out' then the next day go to church and tell a guy you did it and its forgotten. Surely 50% of repenting for something has to be not re-offending.

These guys are human beings, man.

Would it mean that they love god any less than any other pastor of a different denomination if they are allowed to marry?

Of course not. If that were true, then practically every other religious sect would be deemed as less significant, which obviously isn't the case.

Sorry to say this, as a Roman Catholic, but it wouldn't bother me terribly once the Pope passes on. New blood, and fresh ideas are needed in the worst way, as the statistics show that more people are converting FROM catholicsm to a different religion than those who are converting to it.
As a member of the same faith Sergio I agree. New things must be incorporated to "save" our church.

I think that more young guys like myself would be interested in the Preisthood if marriage was allowed. Its only natural for people to have sexual desires, and it doesn't make much sense to me why a "sex ban" was implemented in the first place.

Good luck trying to figure out the "one that is right". I think that either they all are right or they all are wrong. I studied the world's religions in university, and Islam made the most sense to me (seemed like it was right). However, I liked Buddhism for making me feel I had the answers to my questions.

Still, if I can't drink beer, watch footy, and wank in your shoes, I'm going to pass on organized religions.

Almost any Religion has a certain degree of "weirdness" if you're not a part of it. Confessing your sins to a Priest, not some old guy, is just part of Religious tradition that is followed. The Priest acts as a direct link between you and God, in which you confess your misdeeds.

And lets not get into what Religion "seems right", because there are way too many opinions on that.

Why do you need a direct link to God? Shouldnt we already be linked? And why do you need to confess them to a priest and have him tell you what to do. Cant you confess them yourself to God, not do them again and be forgiven?

You and Andy should find the inner peace that will lead you to this answer :D

I'm not much of a vodka drinker - I do favor regular old Stolichnaya. I have heard that the Grey Goose is quite good, Sergio, and quite expensive. What say you?

P.S. On Thursday, Sofia's day care fed her tacos for lunch. *Seeking my revenge as we speak* Tacos :wallbang:

Grey Goose is one of the top 2 or 3 in the world, but its not my personal favorite.

Mine is the Tall Blonde, from Estonia. They are both 45-50 dollars a bottle, but well worth it.

And tell me that you are not serious about Sofia being fed tacos at her day care. Can she even digest something like that? She's barely over a year old.

Because God doesn't give you verbal advice after you confess them. ;)

Like I said before its a tradition, one of the 7 Sacraments a Catholic will/can recieve. This is like asking why Muslims have to bow down after every prayer, or Jainists not being able to use cars.

I just tell my hookup to buy one of the cheapest kinds. Taste doesn't matter when you're plastered. :D

New Dedication.

To all of those who are in my good graces (there's fewer of you than you think), you're welcome.

To all of those who have incurred my wrath, or just piss me off to the point of minor amusement, be thankful it wasn't a lot worse. To say that I've bitten my tongue to the point where it hemorrages when I sneeze is an understatement.

Special shout-out to River, who is as cool as the other side of the pillow on an autumn morning.:D
