you are right, but one thing-the longer it took for the security councel et all to authorize the US, the more time Saddam had to prepare for war, and, in the thinking of the time, conceal any evidence of wmd (which, of course now it looks like the CIA fecked up on that, but Bush didn't know that at the time) anyway, I'll leave it at that ;)
The Security Council wouldn't have approved for the war, as Powell or anyone else failed to produce any decent evidence for the war. He was unable to present facts that showed that Saddam had WMD's, or that he was planning an attack.

What about the number of African children that died of hunger that day? Probably more children found death in Africa that day than Americans did.
I'm not saying it wasn't a disaster, but would it have been such a disaster if it had happened in Africa? Don't think so. And wouldn't it be more usefull to invest all that money in fighting against world hunger instead of anti-terrorism?
If your so concerned about Africa, then why dont you put your money where your mouth is , and contribute to the feed the children foundation, or the Red Cross.

The USA sends more food, clothing , and AIDS medication to Africa than ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THIS WORLD !!!!!!

My tax dollars, along with the rest of America are sent over there to help !!!!!

Its more than what your doing Seven, so you can thank US NOW !!!!!!

Actually, Vinman, the USA aids the African continent more than every country in the world COMBINED. The USA does send a lot of money to Africa. What happens to the money when it arrives? Well, you will have to ask each individual government on the continent.

Zimbabwe was, up to two years ago, known as Africa's bread basket. The agriculture of Zimbabwe was capable of feeding all of Africa. One problem though - most of the farms were owned by white farmers. So, President Robert Mugabi (Spelling?) was under fire for his many corruption scandals decided to win re-election by blaming all of Zimbabwe's ills on the white farmers. He urged black city dwellers to rise up and take over the farms. They did take over the farms, and guess what???? They simply lived on the land. They did not grow anything. So now, Zimbabwe is starving. I do not feel sorry. This was a famine that Zimbabwians wanted and asked for. It would be rude to not accept this famine. Now you pissed me off, so Fvk off Seven.

I think you're grossly over-simplefying (sp?) what happened in Zimbabwe, Pad. Certainly Mugabe is a horrible ruler who has destroyed one of the countries in Africa with most natural resources, but the plan to re-distribute the land wasn't all bad. The white farmers in Zimbabwe, a very small percentage of the population, owned more or less all of the fertile earth in the country, and were getting rich (or more likely staying rich) because of it. Something needed to be done. Of course the land should have been re-distributed differently and controlled, and the competance and farming-knowlegde in the country should have been tried to be passed on to more people, but the inital thought behind it wasn't all bad. Of course the result turned out to be awful, as you accurately described. But the Zimbabwians didn't ask for famine, they asked for a more fair and just land-distribution. And I once again distress that I think Robert Mugabe has been nothing but disastress for Zimbabwe, and that I don't support him at all.

I mean you were right in your statement. But apparently no one thinks it's an utter disgrace you're right. Everyone here thinks it's normal.

i dont fight terrorists and i dont support that war on terror.
i just dont like the way you belittle 9/11.
Seven makes it seem like its not an important event at all, and that nobody should care what happend. He insisted to make a mockery out of just a picture of remembrance, and he shouldn't be wondering why everyone is pissed at him.
