Fabiana I agree...Berlusconi is more my type of egotistical Billionaire:
    - No combover...its gone..hey its gone...but its gone with Style.
    - Unlike THE DONALD ..THE BERLUSCA has never gone bankrupt thanks to the stash of cash under the bed ;) No but seriously America is the land of opportunity..in Italy the DONALD would have been lucky owning a "newspaper" stand in the South.
    - The Donald is still stuck in the 80's with the white sofas and Gold toilet bowls. Berlusca has the colors right..BLACK AND RED...and "nothing else matters"!!

Pado: The Rolling Stones were playing rock n roll when John Paul Ringo and George were playing like a bunch of "bobble head" dolls to pop bubble music about a girl who "was just seventeen".
The old arguement I don't buy: The sell out and play with style: given their age AND the way most bands sound live they still put on some of the best shows.
Prince: He was all down hill after the "batdance" :D
oh yeah and don't forget Dion Demucci, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Dean Martin...is there anything Italians have not dominated..
    besides Fabiana

Hey, baby, I not talking about the Stones - that's Sergio's gig. Don't try to sucker me into that one. The Stones were awesome, but my band from that era is absolutely: THE WHO.

I'm not saying that the Stones weren't/aren't great. All I'm saying is that as a musical force in respect to releasing quality material, they really haven't been relevant since 1982.

Unless you consider "Undercover of the Night" "Harlem Shuffle" and "Mixed Emotions" to be some of the best material they've ever come out with. The only album worth a damn in the last 20 years that they've released is "Voodo Lounge", and even that was 10 years ago.

If it makes my fellow men here any better, before the Prince concert on August 17th, I AM going to see Rush on August 12th.

Oh, Go Ahead, say something bad about Rush now. :boxing:

Actually once again I think you can blame Thomas Cooley Law School :cheesy:

Rush: bah...:lazy: Nothing to write home about Mate.

Given the Rolling Stones contribution to rock n roll and music in general its a sin saying they have not contributed. When you are the Rolling Stones you can sit on your arse and eat donuts all day and still be a legend. Given what they have accomplishment the fact they still put on a show and then some makes up for the "Love is Strong" on the albums.

Once again, you take a quote and totally run in the wrong direction with it. I did not say that the Rolling Stones have not contributed to music. That would be an awfully incorrect, and more importantly, ignorant comment for me to make. What I'm saying, and you probably agree with me on this, is they haven't made a truly good album since Tattoo You, and that was over 20 years ago. The only halfway decent one has been Voodoo Lounge, which, coincedentally, happens to have Love is Strong, as well some other really good songs like You got me Rocking, Out of tears, and Sparks will Fly.

Bridges to Babylon was abyssmal, to say the least, although the tour itself was very good, and the four new songs on Forty Licks are average, at best. They could have used those spots to put Hang Fire and Waiting on a Friend on the album instead. A group like the Rolling Stones shouldn't rest on their laurels. They pushed the envelope of Blues and Rock n' Roll for so many years, and yes, they can still definitely play, the skill is there, so the songwriting must be there as well, one would think.

This isn't KISS, for god's sakes, who have crapped all over the legend they created for themselves by trolling out there with another "Farewell Tour" year after year, this time with Poison. At least last year they toured with Aerosmith last year, so half the show was good.

And for the record, Rush is still an excellent group, and they still put out good albums and a great show. But, to each their own.

Interesting Tidbit- during The Rolling Stones' 1981-82 tour, guess who the opening act was.

Prince.:D He and Mick have been friends ever since.

Nina: You were in New York as a tourist so that is always a different experience. Take a walk through me old neighborhood in New Rochelle and you will see where the "stereotypes" from the Sopranos and the Mob Movies come from (or just see Padovano and Sergio: How-s you Doin?!)
As for Rome: you need a certain battlefield mentality to live here. Be it driving (be ready to be yelled at and reminded how STUPID you are every 5 seconds or general comments about your parents and their terrible job raising you!) or waiting in line and shouts from the back of the line (and the constant yells: Fokin Berlusconi! Fokin Bureaucrats! Fokin lazy employees!) or even just talking to people in Cafe's ...where in the U.S. the complaining was always about how someone got ripped off on a purchase or a big loss the night before or how they are upset because their "main man" from a reality show got thrown off here it is 25 year olds already biatching about how their pension is going to be really low and how many years they have left to work and OH YES how stupid Berlusconi is..I learned quickly to not respond.
In retrospect this post does not explain why I am as a you claim a "big mouth" but maybe just gives you a sneek peak at why I'm always in attack mode.
You are in the attack mode because you want to be ... that or you're a weak person because you let all this things bother you.

Zubrus got traded for being an idiot. He was supposebly injured and so obviously not playing any games but still getting paid. Then one day he decides do go skiing, which is first of all agaisnt the rules for all hockey players, also he was too injured to play hockey but not to ski? Bullshit. So they traded him and got great players in return(whom we still have playing for us): Zednik and Bulis(maybe another, if so I think hes gone). We got them in exchange for Zubrus and Linden if Im not mistaking.

And yes tonight is game 6...the Bruins are leading but we are playing better and have the momentum...Go us.

    Wrong Z, Kiko :D

He's talking about Zlatan, a member of this forum.

But I do agree with you on your assesment of danius Zubrus. He was SUPPOSED to be one of the key cogs in the deal that sent Mark Recchi to Philadelphia.

wow man...rush is an excellent band. They were the starter of that progressive rock style which is used nowadays by great bands like dream theater.
Most critics say than Rush was a band that was too advanced in their style by that time. I mean... in them u can see the rare tempos in the drums and things like that...which are exploited even more by dream thater.

I love songs like "limelight" and "time stand still"...which are pretty cool.

Hey, they were my pants so I think I want to blame Rush. However, when I think of Thomas Cooley I do want to crap my pants.
